Belladonna walks beside Honeycomb, Her hand gently gripping theirs as they walk through the rain soaked streets. Having told her parents she walked home with a friend after school wasn’t a lie but who exactly she walked home with is a unsaid one. She gripped onto there hand tighter sighing quietly as they walked. Her friend gave Belladonna a cursory glance before deciding not to bring it up.
A idea popped into it’s head and they turned to Belladonna, Widening there usual smile as they stared down at her. “Cake?” They pointed their free hand over to a nearby bakery. Belladonna parted her hair with a free hand and gave a small smile before nodding.
Honeycomb gently lead her inside, The worker gave them a curious look as they entered but then shrugged. The trio made there way through the rope. Not having to wait in line as the bakery was basically barren, Belladonna tugged at honeycombs side it quickly bent down so Belladonna could whisper her order into where ears would usually be. It sprung back up and ordered “black cherry cake slice” They stopped for a moment as if having forgotten something before seeming to realize and speaking again “Please.” They both waited a few moments before it was delivered in a carry-out box.
Honeycomb quickly pulled multiple bills from inside there jesters hat, much more than was needed to pay and slid them over the counter before taking the cake and quickly walking out the door. The trio walked over to a slightly soggy bench and sat down Honeycomb placed the cake in Belladonnas lap, It watched her for a few moments as she cracked open the container and began to eat too see if she enjoyed it before seeming to zone out, tilting its head up to stare at the sky. Not noticing the large smile Belladonna threw there way.
