A The Young Ones poster I made as a belated birthday present for my older brother. He turned fifty last month. He loved the show and use to watch it on MTV as a teen in the 80's.

Rimmer is my favourite RD character because apparently I like my comedy characters to be complete bastards. He and Rick obviously aren’t exactly the same (politically, for one thing) and in many ways they are everything the other claims to vehemently oppose but there are definitely similarities. I mean, the fury within these two! The desire to be popular and loved! As you mentioned, the cowardliness and talk rather than action!

Ok

Rick:

- ranting abt commercialism while eating a mickey-shaped pretzel

- TERRIFIED of roller coasters and ferris wheels

- theres no way he isn’t severely lactose intolerant and spent 3 hours in the restroom for drinking milkshake crimes

- tried to find walt disney’s frozen head

- “For the happiest place on earth, waiting in the teacups line for an hour only for vyvyan to get me sick on it was blummin’ well miserable!”

Vyv:

- Spun so fast on the teacups their seat flew tf off and gave Rick a very upset stomach to say at the very least

- “I’m not paying that much for some bloody ice cream, Mikey, that’s why I stole it!”

- “For the happiest place on earth, I’m not seeing any punk bands!”

- Physically restrained from leaping into the water at splash mountain

- Snuck in SPG, who flew off one of the rides and they reunited at the Italian sector of epcot

Neil:

- “I’m at the happiest place on earth and I’m still depressed”

- Obligatory souveneir/bottled water pack mule

- Only rode the teacups and decided he hates theme parks now. Thanks Vyv

- HORRIFIED by the mascots

- Got lost three times 

Mike:

- Honestly expected to be too short to ride anything

- Still didn’t ride much due to a fear of heights

- Short legs + long walk = piggyback rides from Vyvyan

- “For the happiest place on earth, it surely makes my wallet cry”
