Yep. As someone who gets the crap beat out of them and is often ignored, insulted, abused and pushed to the point of almost crying during sex, while having my consent violated, I can confirm this.
My husband is incredibly kind, caring and loving and never violates my consent outside of the bedroom. He actually often wonders if he goes too far and needs to ask for reassurance to which I always give.
