people complaining about will toledo becoming religious like whooooooo caresssss. genuinely the chillest christian i know of and hes not using his platform to spread anything hateful let the man live for fucks sake you wont die if he takes out the swears from tod and yeah i didnt particularly like the remaster either but just use your energy for something kind man. we live on a rock in space

i think people are much too eager to blame matador for the gradual shift in tone of car seat headrest's albums, especially when teens of denial (the og) has some of the best of csh. there are many reasons why a band can change, and dogpiling onto other members or will's age and personality is highkey insensitive

i also think some fans are especially prone to jumping to personal attacks towards will toledo simply because they didn't like his recent lyricism. talking about some shit like he peaked at 17 or just being straight up gross about his age and character with a hint of homophobia.

i've also seen some people hopping onto some narrative of him supposedly "censoring" lyrics about queerness and of course, swears because of an incredibly tone deaf perceived "religious psychosis", which while i understand is unfortunately common in the climate we're in, is a disgusting reaction when you do not know this person or their life journey

i dont understand all of the hate that teen of denial (joes story) is getting,, like i dont really care about the lack of cursing in it i kinda just wish there was more thought put into the censored lyrics? but other than that i really really enjoyed the whole album especially the new tracks i cant wait for it to be on streaming !! some people are hating on it like its gonna just replace the original ToD which just ISNT TRUE? if you prefer the original no one is forcing you to listen to (joes story) go listen to the original instead !!!! afterall this is just a fun 10 year anniversary thing they decided to do which they didnt have to do at all to begin with, so just be a bit more nice to (joes story) .... please....
