Hi. I'm Dom. I'm 34 years old.

I've been playing The Sims since the first game came out in the post y2k year of 2000 — yes, I've been playing this godforsaken game for 26 years.

This blog is 13 years old, but it unfortunately doesn't have any content prior to TS3. Nevertheless, we are still here.

I mostly use this space for storytelling and to keep a record of whatever nonsense I get up to in the game. I spend a lot of time playing, so it's nice to have an archive of it all.

I'm a builder and a CASer, but more than anything, I'm a generational family legacy player. I'll dabble with occults and chaotic offshoot storylines, but it always circles back to the family.

The butler has made a habit of standing over Olivia while she's sleeping 😬

In his defense, I did freeze his needs at 100%. So he doesn't sleep or shower or pee or eat. While everyone is alseep and he's done cleaning, he really doesn't have much to do lol

I always do this with my butlers in every save because I basically want them to be a butler robot who does nothing but their job.

The last thing I need is another sim in the house who can't keep up with the housework because they have needs LOL

I love how the backyard of The Miller Residence is coming along.

To say that I had zero inspiration for the exterior, this is going better than I could've ever expected.

I don't have the pack that has water slides right now, and the tree house was awkwardly close to the pool. So I rotated it in a way that makes it look like the tree house slide goes into the pool. It doesn't. The kids stop on the concrete. But it's the illusion lol

I'm finally making progress on the exterior of The Miller Residence. I've been drawing a blank on what direction to go, but I'm finally gathering some inspiration.

It still needs more greenery and flowers, but it's currently Spring in my game, and a lot of the greenery looks dead when you try to place it. So I'm probably gonna have to play through till Summer to finish this one.

It will also need some tile or pavement around the pool and some terrain paint, but I'm not sure what to do with the pool stuff yet, and the terrain paint is the last last step.

The middle bumpout in the front is pretty wonky, and I'd do it differently if I were building this again. But by the time I decided it looked weird, the house was basically done structurally, and the interior was furnished. So it's one of those "let's not dwell on it moments" lol

I'm typically more of a modern and Victorian type of builder, so a blue suburban is out of my comfort zone, but I really wanted to give it a shot.

I typically prefer each bathroom in a family legacy home to have a bathtub as well as a shower (or a combo) because it's just more convenient for gameplay with kids and pets...

But I'm very much loving this bathroom despite the lack of tub. Besides, this house has 4.5 bathrooms and 3 of the full bathrooms have tubs, so that should be enough.
