To prepare your space, you need to cleanse your area. You can burn incense, smudge using appropriate herbs, use rose water, use bells, and/or other methods that resonate with you. Make sure to cleanse your space, objects, and the surrounding area.
When smudging an area, make sure the smoke covers all corners of your area where energies tend to linger. Sprinkling salt in all corners of your space can also help soak up negative energies.
