I find myself struggling with letting go of the stage “physique”, but it is not realistic or sustainable to maintain that look all year round. Soooooo, I’ve been saying goodbye to my abs every morning after I do a little posing...lol😏😫, and I enjoy adding different foods back into my fuel intake😬😬. It really is as much of a mental challenge as it is physical when you are coming off prep. I’ve watched people come in and out of the gym as a professional for 5 yrs now. Most with the same reason to why they are there. “The gym is my escape. The time to forget about my problems and just numb the pains and failures of life. To take concentration on one thing to an EXTREME until all that pain fades away. All of those past failures. Until you’ve forgotten the demon that haunts you.” Rather than mustering up the courage to look that demon in the eyes and say “I am in control. Not you. I will starve you. I will neglect you.” But people... in order to do that... you have to face it and understand it. So a bit of advice to those of you who think your doing the right thing. I challenge you to face it... understand it.... starve it.... and truly let it go. Do not build a sickness. An obsession.
