Safe And Sound || Trace and Rylen

Rylen sat across from Trace and placed her hair in front of her face while her brown hues made contact with the person in front of her. “Chandler is here, T. He’s going to bully me again if he sees I’m here, so just don’t move,” she explained as she chewed on her lower lip in fear that the blonde headed male would spot her and make her life a living hell outside of the orphanage as well. Rylen took notice of the slight tremble to her fingers and quickly placed them underneath her legs as she smiled softly at the older male. “So, how’s your day?” she asked.

Trace looked around the room spotting who he could only assume was Chandler from her previous descriptions. "Don't worry, Ry. If he even tries to say one word to you, I'll get rid of him." he assured the girl. He would never let anyone bother her on his watch. He noticed her shakiness but didn't know if he should say anything so he let it go. "It's been alright. I'm pretty tired but that's what the coffee's for." he told her lifting the cup. "Yours?"

Trace hadn't gotten very much sleep the previous night and desperately needed caffeine so he went out for a coffee. He had been sitting there for a while when he spotted Rylen on the other side of the room. He smiled as he saw her walking toward him. "Hey- what? What are you hiding from?" he asked the girl. She looked afraid and he was worried about her. Trace was very protective of this girl and wouldn't let anything happen to her.
