there's a canonically queer character who gets little to no development. the focus is on a male abuser and the plot bends to his will (like wasn't jax supposed to have died earlier in the guns episode? maybe i counted wrong but i wouldn't be surprised if he magically gained a heart back), women get sidelined and ignored... black female characters get either completely ignored and tossed out (queenie) or their suffering is mostly ignored (gangle). when a female character isn't perfect she's hated (ragatha) but when a male character is horrible and straight up misogynistic, nobody gives a shit.

The diversity, equity, and inclusion is certainly in shambles. All courtesy to Tumblr's predominantly white userbase!

And the worst part is that people like it. They're quite happy with that and wouldn't change a thing, can't think at all in their smooth brains about what it would like if other demographics had the spotlight, or if THEY were instead the butt of every joke.
