Introduction

Hello! Welcome to "Tower in The Woods!" This is a blog dedicated to a Slay the Princess AU of my OCs!! I've done this before on my old account before I deleted it, but I figured it would be fun to take another stab at it

Here are some little bits of information about this AU

While the story is derivative of the original, due to just being an AU, I plan on having some unique routes, options, as well as replacing or reworking some to fit better with my OCs

Joke good and Oblivion endings will not be options. I hate to put a limit on options, but I don't want to do chapter 1 only to do chapter 1 again and not get to explore chapter 2s and 3s. Maybe if I do another "playthrough" of this AU, I'll open them up as options, but for now, it's not. Part of the reason I'm adding more options for new chapter 2s and 3s

I will try to get a new part out every day, with the exception of parts where the Princess herself is revealed. I plan on trying to draw at least one image of each vessel, and due to college, work, and just kinda being slow when it comes to drawing, it may take a few days. I will state in tags if and when there are days I can't get a new part out.

-> [Explore] "Maybe you're wrong, and I could talk her out of it?"

The Narrator: "No, you can't."

-> [Explore] "IF she can end the world, maybe she's only doing it because cause she's locked up?"

The Narrator: "Let me assure you: The Princess is locked up because she'll end the world, not ending the world because she's locked up."

The Narrator: "We could spend all day arguing the metaphorical chicken or the egg, but it doesn't matter when the egg has hatched and is about to end everything. And everyone. Everywhere."

-> [Explore] "Well, I'm not killing her if I have no evidence she can end the world."

The Narrator: "You're already on the path to the tower. You wouldn't be here if it wasn't to complete a very important task. It'll be a complete waste of time if you don't finish your journey and slay the princess."

The Narrator: "Besides, the only way to prove she can end the world is to let her end it. Do you think that's a risk worth taking?"

[Explore] "How is she supposed to end the world locked away in a tower?"

The Narrator: "It doesn't matter HOW she'll do it. It only matters that she will. The whole world is counting on you to get in there and get the job done."

The Narrator: You're on a path in the in the woods. And at the end of that path is a tower. And in the top of that tower, is a princess.

The Narrator: You're here to slay her. If you don't, it will be the end of the world.

-> "Okay. I'm ready to forget."

"She asks that I tell you to remember her..."

//The Entity pauses before she continues, a look of melancholy on the vessels face.//

"She won't..."

-> [Explore] "Will I forget everything? Or just some things?"

"Everything, until we find ourselves together again in this space."

-> [Explore] "Do you care what I bring you?"

"There are no right or wrong choices. I care only that you bring them to me."

-> [Explore] "How many vessels do you need?"

"I am not sure exactly how many you will need to bring me. More than you have brought, but less than what there is to find. The rest will return to me upon my completion."

-> "So you're not the Princess, but connected to her?"

"Yes, and she is connected to me."

-> "What happens next?"

"Nothing as we are now. Bring me more vessels so we can see what lies beyond the confines of this forest."

"There is no exit, but as a creature of perception, this vessel can make you forget if you believe her to be able to."

-> [Explore] "Are you what sent me to slay the Princess? Or are you the Princess?"

"I did not trap you here if that is what you are asking. I have only just now awaken, and I too yearn for freedom."

"As for this vessel, we are not the same, but we are not separate either. She is as much a part of me as I am a part of her."

-> [Explore] "Where are we?"

"The vacant space that exists between worlds. Nothing comes here but us."

-> [Explore] "Do you know what's out there beyond the woods?"

"I know only that there is something beyond them. I wish to see what lies beyond the confines of the forest."

-> [Explore] "You seem... familiar. Have we met?"

"I have only just now witnessed you, but I feel sadness, longing, and hope as I see you."

-> [Explore] "Did the world end?"

"If the world has ended, how could we be here talking?"
