“We don’t need them, though! I don’t wanna do this, just let me go home!” He knocked Boss’ hand away and crossed his arms.

“Mumble.” Boss spoke with an authority that allowed no more protests. “You’re going to fucking go in there now and you can come home when you finish your fucking job, got it? It’s your job to make sure we can trust this bitch.”

Mumble glared harder, letting out a strangled, “Fine,” as he ground his teeth angrily. He was being ditched here, and he hated it. “I’ll hurry, then.” Turning on his heel, he sighed and made his way closer to the camp. He would make quick work of this and then make a speedy escape. 

Mumble and Mumble meet one day and become instant best friends.

Even if Mumble did show her a “cool” cat or dog, it wouldn’t change Connie’s mind. She really don’t like pets, not even a little bit. She digs through her pockets and takes out her pack of cigarettes and lighter. She takes one from the pack, placed between her lips and light it.

“Who knows.” She blows smoke while she stuffs everything back into her pocket. 

He frowned and started to wonder where he would find a really good animal to show her. Any of his dogs would work, but unfortunately, there were all at home with Boss while he was here. It was quite a trip back, or he would try to go get them. He’d just have to see what he could find here.
