To my dear followers and tumblr community,

It’s not really about why someone didn’t remember you on their important days; it’s more about how you were always there when they were struggling, but once their life felt settled and happy, they didn’t even think of sharing the good news or inviting you on their good days. Maybe it depends on the person. Some people still consider you, call you, invite you, and remember you even after fights and misunderstandings. There are people who don’t hold hard feelings at all; they simply wish others well from a distance, happy knowing they were there during the sad days, offering support when it mattered. Some people feel content just thinking that even if not on happy days, at least on the difficult ones, they were present.

Yeah, you can love a person all you want, care for them, make them feel special, and do all the positive things that exist. But will you be able to stay when they are not by themselves, when they are sad and upset, or when their past traumas come in between your friendship or relationship? Will you be able to stay when they need assurance from you again and again, when they feel ignored by you, when they show their wounds and scars and expect you to listen, to understand, and to stay, when they are so afraid to tell you their weaknesses, when they want you to choose them no matter how difficult they get? Will you be able to stay when there comes a conflict, and they criticize you? When they want you to be kind to them, will you be able to stay? Because life is not only about positive things. Even the weather has autumn once a year.
