The Cute One!

He slowly sat up with his head pounding and fatigued arms. Totty let out a groan of pain as he rises himself up with his arms. 

“Shit..,” Totty mumbled, rubbing his forehead in a attempt to fight the pounding that rung even in his ears. “What happened..? I can’t even see anything..”

He heard a mechanical beep next to him, causing him to jump in fear and a spike of anxiety. Totty wasn’t able to find the source of the beep through the pitch black. He can’t see the device that produced the sound, but Totty could envision it.. It sounded like something you would find next to a hospital bed. Like a heart monitor.

…It sounded just like a heart monitor, he thought. His anxiety spiked as the beeps repeated, the beat of them getting a bit faster as the anxiety raised. Totty couldn’t be in the hospital. He just- couldn’t.

Totty didn’t remember what happened after he left the clothing store with that cute, pink skirt in the window.. But he wasn’t in the hospital, he tried to reassure himself.

Totty felt the sheets on top of him. This wasn’t the futon he’s used to.. But he isn’t in the hospital. 

Totty kept hearing that beep. But he wasn’t in the hospital. 

A pang of hurt rushed to his heart and spread. He grimaced, noticing how Todomatsu realized he wasn’t at home, and was confused with his surroundings. But as one of the eldest, he couldn’t show any some sort of irrational outbursts. It would be smart to handle this in the…most calmest, if even possible, way possible.

“Todomatsu? Hey, Todomatsu. It’s me, Choromatsu. How…” he gulped. “How are you feeling?”

He shifted on the uncomfortable wooden chair he sat on, with an aching back.

Sadly, Totty’s anxiety didn’t rest for long. Choromatsu’s information was enough for Totty to pass out from pure fear alone, 

“H-Hospital?! What happened to me? And your shift? How long have I been here? Days? Weeks? Months?!,” Totty rambled off his questions in a worried, hurried fashion. His eye’s got watery just from Totty’s own theories on what happened to him. 

“Well,” Choromatsu cleared his throat. “For one, you weren’t out for too long. Three weeks max; we figured that mom and dad should get some rest since they really exerted themselves so they’re at home. However, I should call them soon.”

He stared into the eyes of his brother, who couldn’t see the pain and sorrow in Choromatsu’s face. He didn’t have the slightest indication of how he felt.

“Todomatsu…I don’t know how to tell you this. We really missed you as a family. Everyone was concerned and well…another thing is that this hospital does have lights.”

He hesitantly opened his mouth. 

“..This isn’t a prank.. There’s nothing Osomatsu could have offered you to make you act this genuine..,” Totty thought aloud. Another beat of silence fell.

“Damn it!” Totty suddenly screamed as he grabbed handfuls of the blanket laid on top of him, looking down at his hands. Totty couldn’t see them, but he felt the blanket in between his fingers.

Was it red? Blue? Green? Totty didn’t have a clue.. And he never would know.
