 #But seriously the entire point of his arc is that nothing can contain or stop or interest him. #When you claim he wants money or power I’m going to wonder why the fuck he’s whining about being so bored then #when he can cure this problem at ANY time. He clearly doesn’t have ultimate power or all the money in the world #so why did he opt to put a bullet through his brain instead of through Sherlock’s so that he can go on and achieve this goal? #Even back in series 1 when the character was more ambiguous in his intentions #he’s showing you glimpses of his ‘problem’ that ultimately lead to his death. #He tossed MISSILE PLANS in the water and stated they were BORING and that he could GET THOSE ANYWHERE #because getting ahold of top secret government information for him is EASY. #Tasks that are complicated and astronomical in size he can do with COMPLETE EASE and that’s BORED HIM TO DEATH. #NOTHING CAN CONTAIN OR STOP OR INTEREST HIM….except Sherlock. #SHERLOCK SHERLOCK SHERLOCK SHERLOCK SHERLOCK SHERLOCK SHERLOCK #’He has a total obsession with Sherlock’ - WHY DO YOU THINK THIS IS? #’He is the only person who can get remotely close to his level of genius.’ They were MADE FOR EACH OTHER. #Sherlock was his beginning as a young boy with the Carl Powers case and he wanted him to be his END to solve OUR PROBLEM. #Who cares about money and power when a meaningful DEATH - a means of moving beyond that ‘staying’ feeling - is the only thing you crave? #All his life he’s been searching for DISTRACTIONS.
