The Protomen’s Rock Opera

The Megas’ albums (leaning more toward History Repeating than Get Equipped)

Yes, I know these are three wildly different canons. No, I’m not claiming ownership of any characters(except for my OCS) this project is purely for fun and a break from IRL stress.

Important Note:

When I say “Classic Era,” I don’t just mean Mega Man 1–11. In this AU, the Classic Era is a hybrid of the original games plus thematic and narrative inspiration from The Megas’ albums.

As for content: this blog will be mostly SFW. If anything NSFW ever appears, it will be clearly labeled and placed under a cut.

For those wondering why I have done absolutely nothing with this account for a while I have some news.

I've most definitely been up to stuff, mainly sitting at home in front of a whiteboard I purchased a few months ago and trying to figure out what I want to do for the years in between the first half and the second half, I know that we are going to get an actual trial which I might just skip and come back to and I know we're going to see some inner workings of the Wily family

Another thing I'm having to work on is figure out when and who invented the time skimmer because I have some ideas for it later on but I need to decide how advanced we are currently in this timeline.

I apologize for not getting fanfiction out, but I promise I will get something out soon within the next month. After that I won't be active as much in August due to college prep and I will be at Gamescom in Germany at the end of August in hopes of getting a glimpse at Dual Override news!

During that time I will Queue smaller Fics that will be announced here and posted on A03 before I leave.

What you can expect by the end of this month is the first of the Protomen fanfiction, which will cover The Good Doctor, Father Of Death, and The Hounds with much in between to act as filler.

An update as to what I have been doing more specifically:

Sonata is the only reason Forte doesn't eat nothing but chocolate

She and Falk are the closest out of the Wily siblings

Sonata hates Qayin because Qayin got to become a Professor and doctor of Robotics while she got babysitting duty

Sonata doesn't know about Zerachiel (Zero)

The day I figure out the AO3 tagging system will be the day that I post the first little bit, which is going to be five different fanfictions at once (seriously somebody teach me how to use the stupid tagging system)

BUT Here's everything I have for my Mega Man AU:

Dr. Thomas Light / Riku Hikari: Bisexual with female preference along with being a transgender male.

Emily Stanton: Straight Ally.

Jūrō Hikari/Proto: Agender, Androsexual.

Aoi-ri/Mega Man: Pansexual.

Yosef/Sniper Joe: Transgender male, unlabeled sexuality.

Niko/The Woman: Suncoric, attracted to women but unsure if attracted to other genders.

Dr. Albert Wily Senior: Pansexual.

Dr. Albert Wily Jr: Straight ally.

Falk Wily/Metal Man: Achillean.

Forte Wily/Bass: Not sure yet, knows he's attracted to Mega Man (Aoi-ri) and Kalinka but not sure if he's bisexual or not.

Sonata/Piano: Lesbian.

X: Transfem Omnisexual (male preference), Demiromantic.

Zero: Bisexual? Maybe? Since Zero's a system would his sexuality change with the Fronter? (An actual question we as a system had to ask).

Sigma: Gay.

Vile: Asexual, Agender. Aromantic.

"The Gambler"

Niko Shoshana Hikari-Havorn is the only child of DLN-RMP-000-A "Proto" and clone of Yosef Halvorn.

Niko has no mother due to being a clone.

Gender: Suncoric, but uses femine terms

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers/Herself/HerselvesSun/Suns/Sunself/Sunselves.

Sun was raised mainly by Jūrō Hikari before his death and suns grandfather Riku Hikari after. Niko grew up with Aoi-ri Hikari as her brother figure more than he was an uncle.

Niko was the girl who grieved over Proto's grave at the end of Act I, why? That was one of her parents. Yosef died when sun was two. Sun never met him.

Sun is also the woman of act three, a member of the Resistance known as *"The Gambler."

Niko will eventually feel the urge in her chest to go find her uncle, no matter the cost.

*This is a refrence to a member of the band!

DLN-RMP-OO1-A, better known as Aoi-ri Hikari (Anglicized: Adrian Light) is the Second Son of Dr. Riku Hikari (AKA Dr. Thomas Light.)

Gender: Demiboy

Pronouns: He/They (Will also respond to "hey you")

Aoi-ri's programming lists no mother.

Aoi-ri is not recorded as being born in any City Records due to being a Machine. Despite that they are known to have attended one year of high school and frequently picked up his niece Niko Shoshana Hikari-Havorn from her own school across the street.

Aoi-ri Hikari does not know about the small ranch Jūrō and Yosef owned. Aoi-ri does not know about Itsuki, Rokku, or any of the Classic Era characters.

Aoi-ri is known to have a Rivalry with a a member of the Wily Family known as Forte.

DLN = Made by Qayin/A. K. Light (my Classic Era Light)

Yosef Halvorn, born Izevel Halvorn is the son of Dr. Albert Wily Senior and Miss Yael Halvorn, born in The City in a place known as *Facility Three where his mother unfortunately died after his birth.

Yosef was then raised by himself, learning how people acted, why they did, how they did. He learned that the City was bad, the only good places to hide were in the nearby countryside.

Unlike in the canon of the rock opera Yosef meets Dr. Light much earlier, when he's eight in fact, that's how Yosef learned how to read, write, and speak. It's also how he knew Proto when they both were adults later on, Yosef had at that point already left Dr. Lights care.

There's more on Yosef, but you'll have to read the fanfic for that information, that and I don't have its final draft yet :)

Aoi-ri Hikari // Adrian Light

Bit of a PSA before the ask, Doctor Rory Murdock is one of my OC's and a member of the Light Family. This is Rokku's usual reaction to him.

... CONNECTION_STABALIZED ...

The video feed opens up to show Rokku playing with some sort of action figures, he looks up, having heard the question and a pouty expression shown on his young face. Putting the figures down Rokku began signing, it seems this version of Mega Man cannot speak...

"I'm not adorable. I'm a Robot Master! And how did you even get access to this channel anyways? You're not one of Dr. Wily's Robot Masters are you?"

Coming closer to the screen his small fingers tapped the camera lense... Almost as if realizing something about it but before he could say anything about it a voice yells at him.

"Orion 'Rokku' Light! What have I told you about touching that camera?!"

The voice belonged to a man with black hair to his shoulders, green eyes, and a somewhat pale complexion. With gentle hands he removes Rokku(?)'s hand from the lense and lifts the young Robot Master with surprising strength... You notice that the man is definitely not a Robot Master, but Human.

"Now Rokku, why don't you tell Old Rory here who you were talking to? You're not in trouble by the way, just curious."

"Put me down Doctor Murdock. And to the voice in the camera obviously."

Rokku sighed as if annoyed, squirming until Doctor Murdock put him down. The Doctor raised an eyebrow, amused.

"The voice in the camera eh? Didn't Qayin teach you lying is wron-"

"Did you turn that on?"

"No."

Doctor Murdock quickly moves towards the camera again, checking the red blinking light before looking extremely worried and pressing something...

The camera feed goes black...

A PSA on my different Mega Man's

I have Several different characters who are referred to as Mega Man, when asking Mega Man a question please specify which Mega Man from this list.

If the Mega Man has his name in green you may ask that Mega Man questions, if their name is in red you may not ask that version of Mega Man yet. When it comes to Zero, also consult this list

The video connects, it shows a man with a green helmet sitting on a work bench, Quint, and a rather androgynous looking figure with blonde hair in a wheelchair, Qayin.

The signal stabilizes before they decide to answer your question.

Quint nudges Qayin like shes the designated spokesperson for “Why Does Rokku Do That,” which is deeply unfair because he's spent years trying to answer that question and have made no measurable progress. She sighs, pinches the bridge of her nose, and finally says:

“Rokku hides in the closet because he’s shy. That’s the simple version.”

Qayin flicks her hand in a small circle, the universal gesture for there’s more, obviously. Well, obviously to her.

“The longer version is that Dr. Light used to have… visitors. Scientists, politicians, inspectors, people who talked too loudly and asked too many questions. Rokku learned early that the safest place in the house was anywhere those people weren’t. Closets, vents, under the workbench, take your pick.”

Qayin shrugs and continues, moving their wheelchair closer to the screen as it records.

“Some habits stay even after the danger’s gone. And honestly? If I could fit in a closet, I’d probably hide in there too when strangers show up.”

Quint snorts, Qayin glare at him. He’s not wrong.

“Point is,” Qayin finishes, “it’s not fear. It’s… comfort. Familiarity. A little pocket of quiet in a world that’s never been kind to him. Also, he thinks no one can find him in there. Which is adorable, considering he glows.”

Qayin tries to keep the signal up in case you had another question but your screen turns to static before the young scientist can say more...
