Archer respected the girl’s sign, taking her distance so she cold relax from the sudden events that happened to her. So she was a stranger to the battlefield, perhaps a bystander that was dragged incidentally to this Grail War? It wouldn’t be new for the Archer, during her battles around the country against the Taira she saw innocents be slain by her men and the Taira by error.

 “A pleasure to meet you, Hoshino-sama. Or should I call you Master? I will do only as you tell me to.” Tomoe made a bow as if meeting her general or Lord, after all a Master was the closest to a Lord, technically speaking. 

“I don’t mind, if anything it will helps us gather information and hide whenever we need a break fro— Oh?” Tomoe stopped midsentence, something unusual for her, the reason? A game poster being held on the window of the building in front of her.

Thanks to the grail she was given information about this era, the new customs and progress humanity has made. Of course, she knew what a videogame was–on a superficial level.

  “Ah– my most sincere apologies! I know of games, yes. But I’ve never played one in reality. Why do you ask?”

" ‘Sama’ is too much, just call me Hoshino or Ichika is fine!” She doesn’t need to feel like she’s been toss back into olden times. Ichika was no lord, she was just a simple girl. If she had to call anybody sama, it would probably be her Servant since it looks like she’s from a rather noble family. As they were going to walk in the direction of Ichika’s apartment, the brunette asked the Servant if she like game and the expressions that she gave Ichika was breathtaking. 

“...”

Despite her being strong and powerful a moment ago from the other Servant, Archer was showing Tomoe a rather adorable side. 

She’s so cute.

Ichika felt her older sister instincts kicked in as she smiled lightly at Archer. 

“Nothing really, I just thought you look really cute was all!” It wasn’t a lie, Ichika just let Archer know how she truly feel. Now that she thought about it, “Ah, I have a Playstation 4 that my little brother brought over to my place!” She didn’t know how to use it but she figured this would be a good way to know her Servant. 

Now it was time to resume their walk---

twenty minutes later

The duo finally arrived at Ichika’s apartment. It was a standard looking one, nothing too special. Exhaling a deep breath, Ichika took off her shoes and coat and glanced at the mirror to see the seals around her neck. She got to cover this up. Gesturing Archer to the living room, the two young women sat down. 

Minegishi smiles, despite her modest rejection of his compliment. He only speaks the truth, however, so she should accept it - he thinks, anyway. At least she knows what he thinks about her efforts, now, as he drinks a little more of his drink while listening to her. 

“Hmm… I can see how that would be a problem.” Minegishi was also often called in as something of a mediator when things were heated, but situations weren’t always easy to handle. Especially when people were being particularly aggressive or unreasonable - a compromise is always something that can be reached eventually, but for Ichika a compromise can’t really cut what she has to do. 

Calming a person when you yourself are full of uncertainty and lacking facts isn’t easy. It’s one of many reasons he wants the SRCPO to have Investigations access. However the amount of people within the station who would then have to be kept up to speed may be too much to handle - and not many agreed their role was important… which, to him, was a shame. Without them, Shinjuku would be in more chaos than it is already. That much he firmly believes. 

“I’d certainly like to avoid becoming obsessive over alcohol at any point in my life,” He doesn’t think he has an addiction - he drinks in moderation, even if it is more than some others. But Ichika’s next comment has him legitimately bursting out with laughter. He covers his mouth with his hand, mitigating the chuckles until he’s able to compose himself.

Adonis trying to turn people into alcoholics… “I’m…” he pauses, “I’m not quite sure what to say, Hoshino-san…” he’s still letting out small, soft laughs. “That would be quite the underhanded tactic.” And probably doesn’t work well within the lines of Adonis’ goals of trying to eradicate criminals - drunken people are, for all intense purposes, lacking the inhibitions to stop them from pulling ridiculous acts. Some of those being law-breaking. 

“Things sure would be much easier if they were.” he muses, mulling over the thought regardless. “But not everyone drinks, so they’d have an issue with a plan like that. It’s a plot full of too many holes for a group as meticulous as Adonis.” Granted they have been slightly more lax recently - enabling them to get more information and suspects together. Though they all appear to be scapegoats rather than core members of the terrorist group.

Pout. She was pouting. Face flushed and all. She couldn’t understand why Minegishi was laughing at her. It seems perfectly reasonable in Ichika’s eyes! How could her theory be wrong, it seems reasonable. She was sure that Yanagi and the others would agree with her as well! She was unaware how childish she was looking or being in front her senior. 

That just proves how far beyond she gotten. 

She was a light weight. However she kept on drinking out of nervousness and before she could stop herself, she was beyond help. 

“Minegishi-san, you shouldn’t *hic* laugh! I was being serious!” 

She was grumbling before placing her face against the table. 

A sudden summoning it was, the white-haired Archer knew inmediately her situation thanks to the back-up of the Grail, though some steps were ommited as the summoning was rather rushed. “!” Having no time to even speak, the female quickly summoned her Naginata and rushed forwards the other girl who stood immobile for the entire time.

With demonic speed, she swings the blade of her polearm and deflects the other’s blade.

[“A Master…!”] The Servant screamed and tried to swing his sword once again. Then, with almost no effort he broke the Archer’s defense, but as the naginata was thrown away, a red blade slashed and cut down the Servant’s armor.

[“Just what class are you? First a spear and now a sword?”]

  “If you have so much time to speak in the battlefield, I would suggest you to keep focused on it.” 

The female Servant spoke and made her naginata appear once again, this time in her right hand. Then, with a powerful step she made a crossed-slash. Which made the other Servant flinch.

 [”Tch! I’ll remember this, Saber!”] The Servant says as he runs away, part of his Master’s orders. Archer sighed and made her weapons disappear in flames.

“Saber? If only, guess that will make things easier now… Hmm.   You, girl.” She looked at the still frozen girl and walked towards her, notcing the command seals on the girl’s neck.

  “Are you okay? We should go to a safer place to discuss everything. Call me Archer, I am your Servant from this day on.”

Ichika felt like her head would explode. Everything happened so fast, the only thing that her mind thought of was a beautiful girl with white hair. But at the same time she was also, LOUDLY AND SCREAMING INTERNALLY. Yet that was a story for another time. Hanging her head down, Ichika held her hand out in front of the Servant, showing that she needs a moment.

Inhale. Exhale. This person was not her enemy, Ichika knows that for sure. This...Servant did save Ichika’s life after all. “Ok...ok, Ichika, you got this.” Mumbling to herself, the brunette pressed her hands against her cheeks and squished her face, trying to hyped herself up again.

Finally she took her Servant’s hand and stood up. The more closely Ichika looks at Archer, the more she realized that this ‘oni’ was really beautiful.

“Ar...cher-san?” But this person didn’t use a bow. Shaking her head, that was a discussion they can wait for another day. Her guts was telling her that it was safe to venture on home now as long as she has Archer by her side for protection. “I’m Hoshino Ichika.” She finally introduced herself and bowed her head slightly before letting go of Archer’s hand and glanced around out of the alley. It seems safe to go home.

“I’m sorry, my apartment is a bit of a walk, I hope you don’t.....Archer?”

She saw her Servant’s eyes glued to the display window of the game shop. Little did both the Master and Servant know, that game shop served as Archer’s catalyst.

She didn’t think this day would ever come. She didn’t think it was physically possible. But the dreaded fact still remains as well as the number that displayed on the scale. Hoshino Ichika, has gain weight during spring break. It was for Kazuki’s sake, since they couldn’t go home for New Years, they had to go during Spring Break where their mother wanted to literally stuff her two precious children with food nonstop. 

Aahh...this is why I told Mom that I didn’t want to go out that much. 

Ichika herself was the type of person that didn’t really mind her weight that much, she was aware that she was thin but her weight was pretty average. There was only one reason why Ichika didn’t want to gain a lot of weight was simple. If she gain any weight, she can’t fit into her work skirt. Nobody needs to know about this. 

Well this was probably a good excuse now. Ichika has been meaning to do a healthy lifestyle by going to the gym a few times a week. But what was a good gym to go to? Flopping on the couch, Ichika picked up her phone and stared at her contact list. When she thought of fitness there was really only one person that could match.
