Hey guys. So today I’ve been rewatching the origins and I’ve noticed, that when Tikki explains Mari how to defeat Stoneheart, she already uses the word “akuma” to describe the butterfly. But why? I suppose, that the word comes from japanese, where “aku” means “evil”, so “akuma” is something evil. But the miraculouses are “not meant to be used for evil purposes”, as Noroo says at the begining of this episode. Then why has the name of the butterfly evil meaning? Noroo also says, that the butterfly miraculous gives the holder power “ to give someone their own superpowers and to make that person a devoted follower". It doesn’t implicate, that the holder and devoted follower are evil. 

I’ve got few ideas about this. First one is that the butterfly miraculous has been used for evil purpose many years ago and the “akuma” word comes from this time.
