Ermahgerd Cause of Death

Once Natara Williams moved to Washington DC with Mal, she was promptly promoted to Supervisory Special Agent. She worked in a field office for a couple months before being asked to temporarily lead a team in the elite Behavioral Analyst Unit while the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) was on maternity leave. The Section Chief was so impressed with her leadership, profiling, and intensive field knowledge, she recruited Natara permanently. They were surprised that she could do so much while pregnant. She didn’t officially leave work until the beginning of her ninth month, something she did unwillingly. She organized the first “red cell” team on the east coast. She and her team were the first to be called for extreme cases in Washington DC exclusively. Something she was pleased with, because it meant she got to work alongside Mal very often.

Mal Fallon didn’t even land into the nation’s capital to be flooded with offers. The FBI, Secret Service, National Security, and Department of Social Services amongst many. Not wanting to be tied up with bureaucracy, he accepted an offer from the Metropolitan Police Department. Mal knew that he was a cop at heart. He was offered the role of Lieutenant, but Mal always saw himself in the field. He risked his career and became captain of a struggling homicide unit. He whipped them into shape and quickly rebuilt their reputation. Proving once again that Mal’s gut instinct and tough love approach will bring success.

Because I really miss CoD and I know we probably won’t get any real updates on our beloved characters, I’ve took it upon myself to do a “Where are they now?” They’ll be quick blurbs of what the team is up to a little over a year later.

I like their dynamic. Kai showed Kara that doing good doesn’t necessarily make you a good guy, it’s just a good deed. Kara gave Kai that taste for the wild side that he craved. I liked how Kara called Kai cowboy and had this soft spot for him. I liked how Kai had this utter fascination for her. I know if the game didn’t end, they would meet again. As much as I love them together, I can’t see them as a couple, their lifestyles and values would get in the way. I do see them getting together for the occasional whirlwind weekend filled with adventure, sex, and lots of alcohol. That’s a given.

Well, I’ve been using this one for the past couple years. It’s not a visual one, but it has helped me tremendously. I’m sure in due time someone will put one on YouTube. I hope this one at least helps a little bit.

I know I’m going to get a lot of hate for this, but I think it’s good timing. I didn’t really like it being outside of San Francisco. Like why are they in Japan and England? If they were in another city in California, it wouldn’t be as bad. Like Natara is the only one who has authority out of the city of San Francisco. I’m not downplaying the hard work and dedication of everyone else. I just see them in San Francisco, you know? Why did the Firstborn have to awaken all of Genevieve’s children and cause worldwide havoc? That plot just wasn’t my favorite. 

I did like the ending, though. I’m sad to see Blaise go. I really wanted her to get back with Jeremy. I wanted some redemption for Blaise. She struggled so much, only to die in the end. I did like that she went in a completely badass way. It was the ultimate fuck you. I believe the rest of the team honored her properly. I always hated how she was always cast aside. 

As for the actual plot, I thought it was pretty awesome. What I really liked was that Mal and Natara were able to show that even though they love each other, they were willing to do what it takes to end the Firstborn. He shot through Natara, which finally killed the Firstborn. What made it better was that he was finally able to feel fear. He knew what it was like and he thought of all the people he killed. He couldn’t be held in a jail cell, the Firstborn had to be killed. He would have figured his way out, if he hadn’t been. I think this made Mal and Natara’s relationship stronger. They both know that no matter how deep their love is for each other and how much their instinct is to protect one another, there is always a job to do no matter what. 

What I liked the most is that Mal and Natara are having a child together. They’re not getting married yet, sorry, but that’s a total cliche and I’m glad the CoD team didn’t go that route. Instead they are off to Washington DC to start a new life together.
