There's a lot of things you can say are wrong with America right now, but one thing you can't deny, is the impact it's had on music. Yeah, granted, all the really good stuff can pretty much be traced back to Africa, but that's not the point of today's set... July 4th is American independence day and this year, they are celebrating their 250th anniversary! And what better way to celebrate than to get an uncultured ignorant white boy, whose definitely not as slim and fabulous as he thinks is, to play some of his favorite music for a few hours, to a bunch of people drinking american beer in the sun? (Sounds familiar, but at least i'm not on the Epstein list!) Five hours of classic americana, blues, funk, bluegrass, psychobilly, classic rock, soul, jazz, disco, rock & roll, and a little bit of both country and western thrown in for good measure. - Recorded live at the Brew Export Beer Cave & Tap Room in the mighty Birmingham.
