The thing about living with his closest friends and teammates was that John Logan no longer felt the need to ask when borrowing most things if they were out for him to take, so when his truck wouldn't start and he saw Tucker's extra set of keys in the bowl by the door he decided a quick trip to the sports store to get more tape for his stick in his friend's truck wouldn't hurt anyone.

What Logan didn't realize was that Tucker was not locked in his room like he'd thought, instead he was in the trunk of the old jeep cherokee with you, both mostly naked covered by only a blanket and in the heat of the moment neither of you realized what was happening until it was too late.

Now, you two could've popped up from the trunk and told Logan to stop before he started driving, but no one knew about you and Tucker. You'd been best friends with Summer since pre-school and that to Dean made you somewhat of a little sister too and you and Tucker weren't exactly dating, just hooking up, so when your arrengment started you decided to keep it a secret from everyone.

"Do something" You whisper to Tucker as you slowly slide your underwear back on, thankfully Logan has the music blasting loudly enough that your whispers from the back don't reach him.

"Like what?" He asks confused on what he could potentially do while naked in the trunk of his car while his best friend who has no idea about you two drives it.

"I don't know!" You think about it for a second "Text him or something"

"I don't have my phone" He says "Didn't exactly plan on leaving the driveway"

"Oh shit" both of your eyes go impossibly wide when you hear the sirens and see the lights of the cop car pulling the truck over.

Logan stops and the first thing the cop sees is the two of you, Tucker gives him a shy wave, the cop rolls his eyes and ignores you walking to Logan's window, the driver still completely unaware about the two of you.

"License and registration" The cop said and when Logan passes them over he asks "Got any idea why I pulled ya over?"

"No sir"

"Radar caught you doing 15 over the limit" He explains "Although instead of a speeding ticket I'm now thinking about giving you one for public indecency, all of you"

You and Tucker look at each other knowing you've been caught "I'm sorry sir, I have no idea what you're talking about"

The cop sighs "Pop the trunk for me son" Logan does so with confusion "Now come with me and take a look"

"I really don't-" Logan stops when he sees you two covering yourselves with the blanket, clearly not clothes since your clothes are sprawled around the trunk.

"Would you like to explain?"

"I don't think I could even if I wanted to" Logan lets out in disbelief.

The cop lets you go with a warning after a very awkward explanation from Tucker saying that the story has been probably the highlight of his day, you get dressed awkwardly and then sit in the backseat like two scolded children with Logan being the disappointed parent in the drivers' seat.

"Listen" Tucker finally breaks the silence once you're parked outside of the hockey house again, his trip to the store forgotten "This, you need to keep this a secret. No one knows and we'd like for it to stay that way" You nod.

"I really hate both of you a little right now" Logan huffs.

"Please" You ask.

"Fine, but only because I really don't think I have it in me to unpack whatever this is" He agrees.

"Two consenting adults having consensual sex?" You ask trying to lighten the mood.

And because Tucker is Tucker he adds "Really good consensual sex"

The next day Logan is itching to tell someone and thankfully for him Garrett's home while Dean and Tucker are not so he takes it as a sign to say something, the problem? Garrett sucks at keeping secrets that are not his own.

"I need to tell you something" Logan stands in front of where he sits on the couch "But like… you can't tell anyone"

"No" Garrett quickly says "No, I don't want to know"

"You need to know" Logan insists "I need to tell you"

"Fuck no" The captain shakes his head "Go away"

"Dude" As soon as Logan starts Garrett covers his ears and starts chanting 'la la la' "Tucker's hooking up with Summer's best friend"

Garrett stops immediately "What?" Logan nods "Why would you tell me that? Dude!"

"I had to tell someone!" Logan exclaims and points at his friend "Stop that"

"Stop what? I'm not doing anything!"

"Your eye is twitching, stop it, stop it now" He insists.

"I can't stop it, it just does that, you knew it, why did you have to go and tell me about it?" Garrett complains.

Then the door opens and in walk Dean, Tucker and you, you're at the hockey house more often than not nowadays, so that's not a surprise, but Logan thought he'd at least have some time to get Garrett back to a normal person before you got there.

"Why are you twitching?" Dean asks immediatelly when he notices his usually composed friend looking disheveled "What did you break?"

"Uh" Garrett looks at Dean, then at Logan and finally at both of you behind him and that's when Tucker realizes what's happening "They've been hooking up!" He points at you and then winces at his words, Dean turns with raised eyebrows.

"You told twitchy, really?" Tucker asks accusingly.

"I had to tell someone! We were literally stopped by the cops"

"A cop, and he stopped you for speeding" You add, then shut up when you see Dean's face.

"You two-" He narrows his eyes "How long?"

"Four months" You admit sheepishly.

"You two have been hooking up for four whole months and kept it from me?" He asks "You're like a sister, you tell me everything. And you-" He turns to Tucker "She's practically my little sister, how could you do this to her? You know how much I care about her"

"What exactly am I doing Dean?" Tucker takes a step closer to him, you stay by the door "Please, tell me, what do you think I could possibly be doing?"

"I know you Tuck" Dean narrows his eyes, Logan and Garrett look ready to pounce the second a fight breaks out "Everyone thinks you're such a saint just because you're the quiet one but I know you and all your conquest stories"

"That's not what this is" Tucker shakes his head, Dean doesn't back down "Maybe, I'm done with all that, have you stopped to think about that? Maybe I got tired of random hookups, maybe I've finally found someone I see myself settling down with"

Your mouth falls agape at the confession, you two have never talked about this before, up until today you were under the understanding that he wanted casual hookups, but now he's standing in front of someone who is basically your brother admitting that he actually likes you, that he wants more.

Dean doesn't say anything, Tucker doesn't say more, just grabs your hand and pulls you upstairs to his room knowing that after his confession you two need to have a talk.

"Did you actually mean that?" You ask once the door is closed behind you.

He looks like he might've regretted it but the expression goes away in seconds and a soft one replaces it "Yeah, I know we started this saying we'd keep it casual, but I can't help it, I think I'm falling" You stare at him, not because you don't know what to say but because your brain needs time to process it all "Please say something"

You don't, instead you grab him by his shirt and pull him close to kiss him.

"Yeah, okay, or do that" He mumbles into your lips "I'm good with this too" You giggle.

Later, after you and Tucker have talked and decided to give a relationship a chance and you feel you've given him enough time, you decide to go talk to Dean, you find him in the backyard sitting by the fire pit, you sit next to him.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner" You say after a few seconds of silence "But I'm not sorry for doing it" He still doesn't say anything "I started it by the way, and after the first time he said he couldn't do it anymore because he didn't want to keep secrets from you, but I kept bugging him until he gave in again"

"Why him?" He finally speaks "Why one of my best friends?"

"Why not? Tuck's a great guy in and out of bed" He grimaces, you chuckle "Hey you asked. I really like him Dean. I think I liked him before we even slept together, I just didn't let myself look at him that way" Dean hums "Forgive me for not telling you?"

"Is it going to become an actual thing?"

"We're giving it a try" You admit.

"Fine, but no PDA in front of me" He says "And if either of you hurt the other I'm coming for you, both of you"

"I thought you were supposed to do the big brother speech against him" You raise an eyebrow at him.

"Hey, you went for one of my best friends, he's like a brother too" He defends.

"Please don't call us both your siblings" You grimace.

"You know what I mean" He chuckles.

You're tired, exhausted in fact, it's been one of the longest days you've had in a while. Your professors synced up to be the biggest assholes ever, lectures running long making you late to the others, You had a long shift at your job at the library that resulted in missing your boyfriend's hockey game and now you two were fighting, you don't even know what the beginning of the argument had been, just that it had been going on for too long and it was making your headache worse but you refused to lose.

"We've been through this before" Garret huffed.

"And I've told you before, I'm not interested so drop it" You retaliated.

"We've gotta compromise here babe" He uses the pet name as a weapon.

"You have to compromise" You're not even trying to make sense anymore "I dont care, I'm done with this argument" You sit down on the desk and pull the makeup remover wipes you keep there out to start getting out of your makeup.

"Well I'm not, and while we're on this topic-" You cut him up by turning around, sighing and lifting your shirt to flash him, it stuns him for a second and that's enough for you to decide the discussion's over, you turn back to the little mirror and start wiping away "No… no, you can't just use your boobs as a weapon" He frowns "We're still talki-"

You turn around and do it again "I swear to God if you keep talking I'll just take it off and do the rest of my nightime routine shirtless"

"Is that supposed to make me shut up? Because it feels more like an insentive to keep-"

You cut him off once more "Garrett, I have a pounding headache, have had the longest day ever and all I want is to crawl into bed and pass out for a few days, keep talking and I'm putting you on a sex ban"

His face melts, he realizes how tired you look and instead of fighting back he nods and leaves the room, you think it is because he's still mad and finish your routine with a frown on your face, you would go downstairs and look for him but you're exhausted, so instead you get into his bed and bury yourself into the blankets, you'll talk to him tomorrow, apologize and compromise or whatever it was he wanted you to do.

Garrett was't angry though, he wasn't looking for apologies and he hadn't left to give you space, he makes his way back upstairs and enters his room with a pill in one hand and a glass of water in the other "Here baby" His voice is soft, a complete contrast to the volume he'd been using before while you were arguing "Take this before you fall asleep, so you don't wake up with a headache"

You take the pill, swallow it with some water and then move aside signaling for him to lay next to you "'m sorry" You mumble.

"I'm sorry too" He kisses your forehead "But don't think flashing me your boobs will win you every argument ever"

You hum into his chest "We'll see"

It was meant to be just a joke, something you saw on a TikTok comment section about ragebaiting your boyfriend, a funny prank to play on Dean before leaving for your girls' weekend with your friends.

"Okay babe, I'm leaving" You walk down the stairs with your bag hung on your shoulder, your friends already waiting outside of the hockey house where they are picking you up from.

Dean's on the couch scrolling through his phone, probably looking at hockey stats but puts it away as soon as he sees you, getting up to kiss you goodbye "Be safe, don't get super drunk if you're going outside, don't drink and swim and don't do anything I wouldn't do"

You chuckle swatting him away as he kisses you after every statement "Sure babe, I'm going now, same rules go for you" You're walking down the porch steps when you turn around "Oh and Dean?" He raises his eyebrows "Block her" You keep walking.

"Block who?" He sounds confused, that makes you chuckle.

"You know who" And you're gone with a giggle he doesn't catch.

You were supposed to get to the lake house you'd rented, settle down and then send Dean a text telling him about the joke, but it turns out that there is no internet in the house and the reception sucks so you and your girlfriends decide to have a phone free weekend.

And while you are having the time of your life with sunshine, drinks, and your best friends, Dean is absolutely losing his mind the whole weekend.

"Who could she be possibly talking about?" The blonde has gathered all of his friends in the hockey house, his phone in the middle of the kitchen counter opened on his list of contacts.

You've never been someone jealous, you have your friends and Dean has his, some of them overlap, the closest ones, but the rest of them you never seem to have a problem with, Dean stopped sleeping with other women the second you came around and hasn't have contact with any of them since so it can't be any of them.

"How about this one, Patty D?" Logan asks as they scroll down the very lenghty list.

"Aunt Patty? D for Di Laurentis" He exhales putting his head down on the counter, it's Saturday night, they should be out partying, but instead they are all trying to figure out the mystery of who you want Dean to block.

"Man, why do you have so many fucking contacts Dean?" Garrett complains "Is that… is that Justin B, Justin Bieber or do have a cousin Justin Bi Laurentis?"

The guys laugh but Dean can't find anything funny any more until he figures this out "That is Bieber"

"Oh my god" Tucker lets out and starts scrolling on his own "How many celebrity numbers do you have bro?"

"Doesn't matter!" He snaps "Help me figure out who I'm supposed to block, she hasn't even texted or called me back, she's actually pissed"

It's late and everyone's tired by the time someone suggests the only 'rational' thing that can be done in a situation like this, because they've exhausted every option, block every single female contact that Dean has on his phone outside of his family members. It actually takes him a few hours of checking and rechecking that he did it.

You get home earlier than planned and have already forgotten about the little joke you played on Dean before you left, your friends drop you off at the hockey house where you're planning on staying tonight and drive away once you're on the porch.

"Oh good you're back" Tucker gives you a big hug "Please don't leave like that ever again"

You give him a confused pat on the back not understanfing why he's being like that "Glad to hear I was missed even though I left for only two days"

"No, seriously, don't go" He begs "That was traumatizing"

You agree with a confused "Okay" And go upstairs to Dean's room where you find him scrolling through his phone, tense posture and hair a mess from running his hands through it too many times "Hi baby, I'm back"

His head snaps up at the sound of your voice "I blocked her"

You're confused once again "Who?"

"I don't know" He shakes his head, his eyes are wide and there's the slightest bags starting to show up under them "But I blocked her, in fact I blocked them all, every single girl's number I had, and I also blocked everyone from Instagram, or well… I'm on that actually, but there's too many and I just…" He puts his phone on his bed and gets up walking to you "Please don't be mad at me, whoever it is, I won't ever talk to them again I swear, if I see her coming my way I'll turn around"

"Dean" You touch his face, he melts into you "Slow down, I have no idea what you're talking about"

"But-" He takes a step back "Before you left, you said to block her, and when I asked who you said to figure it out"

You laugh when it clicks, the prank that you didn't get a chance to tell him about "Dean oh my God" He's looking at you like you're crazy now "Holy shit, I'm sorry oh my God" You can't speak from how much you're laughing.

"Why are you… what?"

"It was a joke" You finally say taking a big breath to try and stop laughing "I saw someone on tiktok do it to their partner and I thought it'd be something funny, I was going to tell you once we got to the lake but we didn't have service and then I forgot about it"

"So you're telling me that the guys and I spent all of Saturday night trying to figure out who this nonexistent girl was? Baby I almost blocked Aunt Patty" He's in complete disbelief and you're starting to feel bad.

"I'm sorry honey" You sit next to him on the edge of the bed "I completely forgot, I should've found a way to contact you and let you know it was just a joke"

"It's okay" He says "But now I have. a lot of people I need to unblock"

"You didn't have to block your entire contacts list baby" You tell him.

"No, you don't get it, I'd throw my phone away if you asked me to" He says in all earnestly, you believe him.

"I don't need you to do all that" You reassure him "Okay, give me your phone, I'll get to unblocking"

He hands it to you "Or… we could just move on with our lives and not unblock anyone" He shrugs "There's no one there I need to talk to anyways"

"Dean, you blocked Hannah" You point out "Your best friend's girlfriend"

"She's always around, if I need something I can just talk to her in person"

"You blocked Mrs. Garcia!" The cleaning lady who has helped his family for forever, probably since before he was even born.
