He pressed his nose against the others in a quick nudge as he gripped the boy by the shoulders. A smile began to spread across his face as he looked over Tamaki.

“Then you’ll just have to prove yourself wrong!”

“How can you have so much faith in me when all I do is lock up in every situation that I’m in? A hero can’t do that. A hero has to be able to jump into action without a moment’s hesitation…I’m…not that kind of guy.”

“Not once!”

He held onto Tamaki and rested his cheek against the others, rocking slowly and gently.

Mimic stared in stunned shock for a breif moment. He dropped the ruined weapon to the ground, praying it hit someone. He balled his fist and struck him across the face, hard.

“WE’VE ALREADY GOT TROUBLE!”

Hawks allowed the punch to strike, recoiling slightly from the sting. This guy wasn’t going to go easy at all, but Hawks wasn’t just going to sit him down and let him go about his day, either.

“And someone stupid enough like you should know I wont go down like that dammit!”

“It could, but not typically. Not unless it was intended.”

“You seem to be forgetting that I’m gonna shoot you bub!”

He kicked his legs in the air as he pulled out the gun with his true arm, pressing it to Hawk’s face. 

“Let me go or we’re gonna have some trouble.”

Ruby feathers sliced through the metal weapon, sending half falling back to the earth. A smile remained on the hero’s features as he never broke his pace in the wind, the detached feathers returning back to their secured spots.

“No dont touch me!” 

He swatted at Hawks pathetically as he fell.

“I’d rather die if it means I got caught in such a stupid way.”

Hawks remained silent as he kept pace with the other’s freefall. It was only moments before collision with the ground that Hawks finally swooped underneath the falling villain, carrying him back into the sky.

“Naaaaah. I can’t let ya die, pal.”

“You seem to be forgetting that I’m gonna shoot you bub!”

He kicked his legs in the air as he pulled out the gun with his true arm, pressing it to Hawk’s face. 

Mirio slowly wrapped his arms around Tamaki’s waist and pulled him softly against his own body. He gently feathered a few kisses onto the boys forehead.

“Come on now, where’s this coming from?”

He palmed the others soft cheek and used his thumb to wipe away a single tear. He allowed the two of them to rock softly with Tamaki’s breath.

“You dont disappoint anyone. All we need to work on is that confidence right? You’ve already helped so many people Tama. Just imagine a year from now, or five. You might beat my goal by then!”

Tiny hiccs and sniffling was the only reply for a few moments while the student re-composed himself. Once he was able to speak, he shook his head negatively.

“Mirio…I will never be half the hero you are. You’re just so…bright, and happy and strong and kind and…”

He trailed off again, this time raising an arm for his sleeve to dry fresh tears from his flushed cheeks.

“Well... If you feel that way about it...”

He pressed his nose against the others in a quick nudge as he gripped the boy by the shoulders. A smile began to spread across his face as he looked over Tamaki.

“You may be onto something..”

“I hope not… Perhaps, this is a prank?”
