This is my Mom. She had so much love for my brothers and I, a love that only grew as we did. Her love, her passion for her children never faded. Even in the darkest times when all other family had abandoned us, she held her head up for her children. She always made sure we had the things we needed and some of the things we wanted. My fondest memories are of the holidays. We didn't have regular everyday decorations. We went from one season to the next. She didn't decorate light either. I remember times when she would be missing one piece of decoration and that meant we had to go back to our 24x10 storage unit to find the missing box. It was never complete unless we had it all. I always wondered why she went to such extremes, now... I know why. She wanted to give us those memories so that we could look back and enjoy them. So that maybe one day we could continue the tradition in some way. My Mom was so amazing that even when she found out she had cancer, she refused to give up. She underwent months of chemo therapy and doctor visits, pills and pain. Even during these times, she did things for others and looked out for her children, as unappreciative as we were. She managed to hold on for a little more than two years before the cancer became to much for her. On June 1st 2004, surrounded by her brother, sisters, nieces, friends, grandson, granddaughter and her four sons, she passed away. I just wanted to share a little about the amazing person that was my Mom. Happy Mothers Day! #mothersday #mom
