Satoru looked at him over the rim of the cup, and for some reason Suguru's calm expression irritated him in a new way. Not because it was unpleasant, but because it seemed impossible that anyone could remain so whole after a shift like that. Maybe he had always been that way by nature, or it was a built skill, which was probably more likely, because that's the kind of thing you only learn when you spend too much time holding other people's suffering in your hands.  "Do you always do that?" Satoru asked before thinking better of it.  Suguru raised his eyebrows. "Do what?"  "You go around acting… like you know exactly what everyone needs and then disappear before anyone can thank you."  This time, Suguru's smile was smaller, more direct, almost shy in the corner of his mouth. "It works better that way." 

Where Satoru Gojo is an intensive care physician in the ICU, and Suguru Geto is a pediatric nurse.

Gojo goes into pre-rut, and before it gets too bad he basically begs Geto to help him through it because he doesn’t trust anyone else. Geto says he’ll help as long as he gets to do it his way. Gojo agrees - partly because he’s so desperate, and partly because he’s sure Geto’s “way” will just be him refusing to do anything penetrative; only hands, mouths, etc. Gojo’s fine with that, he’s so fucking horny he’d probably fuck a hole in the wall at this point.
