this is something i did two years ago when i was obsessed with shina and tomoe. I never did finish it but i think that even if i did, it’d just be a whole page of shina staring in awe at tomoe and them ginning at each other or something…

Hello everyone. Today I want ta introduce Shina’s teammates that @tomoe-au​ helped me come up with. You see, I’m terrible at coming up with OC’s. I neglected to really write about Shina’s teammates for this reason.

While trying to come up with who his teammates might be, well, I realized something. His teammates will probably eventually be his friends… and you see, so far… almost all of Shina’s fandom friends are girls. ^_^; I could have followed the 2 boys one girl policy, but that’s just really meh. I couldn’t do the 2 girls one boy thing because again there’s the problem of no variety in Shina’s life.

I neglected to mention his teammates for years and years. I considered just using some of by buddies OC’s like @rebelliondou, but that’s a story in itself which is not the same ‘story’ this blog follows (not that I wouldn’t mind doing asks for that particular AU) And them @tomoe-au saved the day!

So here we have Koga and Myouen. (Their colors/outfits are not final). This team was formed when they were 15, but they were aware of each others existence prior to becoming teammates even if they weren’t quite friends.

Koga

Koga is like a loyal dog. Always has some encouraging words to say, especially for Shina. He’s loud and if he thinks someone undeserving has been insulted, he will bark angrily. Not actually bark, but you get the idea. He may be be prone to mood swings. Pfff

Although Myouen doesn’t think much of Koga, Koga has a lot of beef with Myouen. It’s not uncommon for Koga to be yelling about something insulting Myouen has said and Myouen completely ignores him.

Koga has a scar on his eyebrow that he got after a very dangerous expedition where he sailed the seas and fought ninja pirates for the treasure of one piece… except that’s not what happened at all. He got the scar when he was a toddler and a vase fell on his face after pulling the table cloth. For every new person he meets, he makes up a new bull crap story of how he got it. At this point, not even he remembers how he actually got it. Probably.

Myouen

Myouen is the local grumpy cat. He is extremely intelligent and excels in school and martial arts training, but because he’s super milk toast, no one really pays attention to him or his accomplishments.

Since they were younger, Myouen had an intense dislike of Shinachiku. Since he is the Hokage’s son and the son of the most prominent doctor in the world, he’s bound to get attention no matter what he does. Myouen finds Shina very undeserving and makes his feelings known.

Their ‘Friendship’

You can imagine how great everyone gets along at first. Meaning, they didn’t get along at all. The day they were assigned to meet, Shina and Koga got along right away. Koga was similar to his dad and Shina knew how to handle it.

When the two went to meet up with Myouen, things did not go well. In fact, the first thing out of Myouen’s mouth was insinuating Shina only got approved to be a shinobi because of the status of his parents and he hoped Shina actually held his weight on their future missions.

Cue the never ending cycle of Koga shouting, Myouen ignoring him, and Shina making sure the two stayed as far away from one another as possible.

There is a point where Myouen sees Shina in a different light and the three will get along much better, but that’s a story for another day.

Being almost complete opposites, Koga and Myouen will always kinda clash, but they’ll learn to respect one another.

I took some liberties when I designed Myouen (like skipping the glasses and giving him a bowl cut) but we both agreed that this captured the essence of what both of us had in mind. Then we just came up with all kinds of headcanons and now I’m in love with this team! I wanted to post this a long time ago but I never got around to polishing the sketches I made of them. But to celebrate their introduction I at least cleaned up the comic I first sent @askshinachiku after suggesting the design for Myouen. It’s pretty sloppy and just straight up copied the color sheme of @askshinachiku but yeah, enjoy!

Who knew that, because of two loving ninja boys, I’d be able to meet so many wonderful people who never fail to make my day brighter.

I want to thank all of you for being here and continuing to support the relationship and bond of these two no matter what happens. Our fandom is so strong and devoted and inspiring. We always stand up for each other and we don’t let the worst get to us. 

Even though there are so many people who I don’t often talk to (though I wish I could!) I still feel like we are really close. Just like a family. We have each other’s backs no matter what. We can understand the love and dedication we feel for Naruto and Sasuke, which is what brings us even closer to each other. 

I really hope that, no matter what happens, SNS will always be in our hearts just like this wonderful fandom ♥

To finish off, I would like to mention a few people who I can’t imagine this fandom without (in no particular order.)

@rei-scarlet My first friend in the fandom. I was always a quiet mouse and never spoke up until we started talking. I feel so comfortable talking with you about pretty much anything, haha! You’re the one who convinced me to buy Yours For an Hour (BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE). You always stand your ground and can always make me feel better.

@saucegayuchihayyyy You are straight up savage and that’s what I love about you. You don’t take people’s bullshit. But, you are also a caring sweetheart and the posts you make are always thorough and interesting. We don’t talk that often anymore, but seeing you on my dash always makes me happy!

@someone-who-is-there Su, you are so strong and influential. I honestly aspire to be like you. I could even say that you’re like a role-model to me. Even though we don’t know each other that well, yet, I still feel like I could talk to you about anything because you are such an open-minded person. (and your voice is so cute asdfghjk)

@cantgetoversns What can I say? You’re the cutest cinnamon roll ever! I wish that I could just give you the biggest hug possible! You’re a really positive person and talking to you brings me so much joy. 

@blurryfaceimagines Looking back at our messages, we actually haven’t talked a lot but it feels like we’ve been talking for years! You’re really accepting and you make me feel special. I hope we do get to talk more often!

@bahare-uzuchiha I honestly don’t know what the SNS fandom would be like without you! You are considerate and very helpful. I feel like I can always come and talk to you if anything is going on, knowing that you will be there.

@tomoe-au Talking with you is so pleasant and heart-warming. You’re a great person and I absolutely adore your art! You always say sweet things about me which I really think I don’t deserve, haha.

Tadaaaaa! It’s Tomoe and Shou! A redo of an old mini-comic without the comic. Originally Tomoe blackmailed Shou into playing a game of football with her, so yeah.

I’ve been wanting to draw Tomoe for months, but they all were unsatisfactor. Q_Q But I really like this one!
