I thinking 🤔 about the contradiction between amane and his mother's reactions to tsukasa . He was severely beaten by his mother who called him possessed while amane lived his life with tsukasa normally !!!
So what happened to make amane who was fixing the watch suspect his brother ??
From the very first reunion with Tsukasa, Amane sensed that there was "something wrong" with him, as did their mother, and I imagine their father may have felt the same.
What stands out here is a significant difference in how each of them reacts to this change in Tsukasa.
While the mother becomes aggressive and tries to find a way to bring her son back, strongly believing that he wasn't her real son, we have a father who prefers to stay away and not get directly involved, avoiding responsibility and the burden.
And lastly, Amane. The one who doesn't accept that Tsukasa abandoned him, the one who believes there's something wrong with his younger brother, but he will "save" him from it.
Amane lives in a dilemma about whether or not to believe Tsukasa is real or fake. Not only in relation to his brother himself, but all the consequences that came with his return.
We see Amane displaying contempt and blaming Tsukasa for how things turned out in his family. He seems more resentful about this, struggling to accept that Tsukasa is the real one because he doesn't believe his younger brother wouldn't leave, wouldn't be responsible for his parents' separation and his mother's behavior.
So he believes that Tsukasa isn't the real one, and that he will save him. Amane's dedication lies in this rescue, in this moment when he believes that the solution to everything is indeed to bring Tsukasa back.
We haven't seen much about their time together in life, but there's a coldness, a contempt, a remorse, and guilt.
Amane carries the weight of "letting" Tsukasa to disappear; he blames himself, and this consumes him. What could the future have been like? How would things be if he hadn't disappeared?
Deeper than that, we have his love for Tsukasa. He doesn't reveal it directly in words, but it's there. The desire to save, to care, to try to change everything so that he would continue to be that little boy who had always been by his side.
Amane took on the responsibility alone, but he didn't give up on his brother.
