Just a quick announcement, I updated my storenvy with new merchandise from the latest High Speed kuji. I didn’t buy a full set so these are only my extras, but they are nice. I still need to write my review of the movie one of these days.....

It’s not related to Makoto’s birthday, but I posted my pro Haru story... it was supposed to be a little vignette ficlet, but ended up 12k words orz... (cut it into 2 parts) I couldn’t shut up about Haruka’s life as a pro swimmer, and of course Makoto is a big part of Haru’s life.

I hesitated if to post this doujinshi on Makoto’s birthday, because it’s a little angsty and always makes me cry when I read it. It really hits almost all the sore points I had with Makoto’s storyline in s2. 

However, it does a wonderful job (imho) explaining and giving more depth to Makoto’s decision to quit competitive swimming and become a coach instead. And of course the artist incorporates Haru into it and how much Haru is a part of Makoto and his life choices. It’s really a wonderful look into Makoto’s character so I decided to go ahead and post it today.

Several ppl have asked me, so I’ve put pre-orders for the makoharu cloth poster, though only a few slots available.

I put up a few doujinshi for sale. Most of them are brand new. I’ll probably be selling some of my old beloved makoharu books. so more to come!

Summary:

“I’m not a hero. If I had to choose between saving Haru and saving a whole city full of people, I would choose Haru in a heartbeat,” Makoto said quietly, a bitter smile touching his lips. Haruka’s deep blue eyes gleamed as he studied Makoto’s face. He knew it wasn't true, but Makoto’s sweet lies had always comforted his heart when he was waiting for him to come back home safe.

“I’m just an ordinary cook,” Haruka repeated and Makoto shook his head. Haru was anything but ordinary. If he just tried, he could do anything he wanted. But Makoto could never bring himself to say it out loud. Haruka wanted to return to the water more than anything, and Makoto could not bear the thought of Haruka going somewhere he could not follow.

It’s the story of a cook who dreams of returning to the water and the firefighter who loves him.

I’ve finally posted the 2nd chapter..!! I’m sorry it’s so late. I hope the next chapters I have finished will not take as long to edit... free time is a precious little thing, I’ve mostly been writing this story on the train on the way to work, but definitely planning to finish it.. because my brain is too occupied with it to go on and work on other things before I do.

I meant to post this for Haru’s birthday, but we didn’t make it in time. It’s a sweet doujinshi about adult Makoto & Haruka who have reached again a deciding moment in their life regarding their future. It has some nice things from my headcanon so I really love this story! Hope you will enjoy it too.
