Iâm alive here tooooo.
AND HERE
PSA: The Next Two Weeks
Marshal Mun here. I have some things you guys need to know.
Okay so while I do intend to be here a little more (Thatâs not just âhereâ but on all three of my active blogs) Thatâs not going to be possible until at least Friday (So December 6th)
For any of you that donât know on Tuesday I will be starting a lengthy moving process. Because of a bug problem we will be loading the truck Tuesday and allowing it to sit frozen until Thursday morning. This means that not only will I be busy with things involved in the move, I will not have either of my computers until Thursday morning. All of Thursday Iâm likely to be setting up the new house, SO you wont be seeing me for a while. The week after that will be settling in and adjusting to living with my mother again so Iâll be very busy working that out, followed by a trip across the Provence to visit with my father for Christmas, which will mean I wont be online at all while Iâm there. He has no internet connection at home.
All of this means that while there will be a few small gaps where I will be here, I wont be back online full time until December 15th or 16th.Â
If any of you need to get a hold of me there will still be several ways to do so.

âSecrets. Something youâd know a lot about.â He huffed. âM sent me here because I was the only one who could be trusted to handle this case. It wouldnât make sense to trust anyone else, which would have been more suspicious?â
He had to stop himself, he really should just get up and leave. He was endangering her now, she wasnât his boss she was a civilian, and with his presence she was in danger. He found it unbelievably hard to hold back information from her if only out of habit. He was so used to her knowing everything, used to her âneedingâ to know everything, that holding back was proving to take some effort.
âIâm going to assume youâre intention was for me to âneverâ find out, am I right?â Something about that idea burned him slightly. âWhy is this such a huge secret? Silva was taken care of.â
He knew why, he just did not want to admit it. He did not like the idea of the sassy old lady not being able to stand up for herself, it made her seem tangible and fragile and something about it spooked him.
"You know why." She confirmed his subconscious beliefs before moving on to explain. "Even with Silva dead there were a number of lives lost for which I was almost single handedly responsible. Had I returned to England I would have been held accountable for them and brought up on Charges. There was no defense for it. I would have either been locked away or at the very least sacked and out under house arrest." She turned away again.
"Had I been able to tell you I would have." Though she was sure he wouldn't believe her. "I wasn't given a choice I was told and had I tried to contact you it's likely they would have caught onto the fact that I am alive. " She felt like a small child explaining why it had been necessary to steal a cookie. It was not a feeling she enjoyed.
Darwin's Finches [Open Post-Skyfall!AU]
Eyeing her carefully he spoke more quietly this time, this was not the woman he remembered.
âI saw you on the street and followed you.â He said matter-of-factily. âI canât divulge more than that to a civilian, now can I? You know how this game works.â
It was very strange, denying answers to his former boss. It was strangely empowering though, as she used to do this to him all of the time. In a way it felt like a little pay back. This Olivia did not seem to play the same games as the one before however. He wondered what new tricks she had learnt to let her guard down like she had.
âYou know what a double-O showing up anywhere means.â
"It would be strange if I didn't, when you consider how many I Sent out." She said quietly, hand resting on the post at the end of her bed. She let out a small sigh, turning to face the other. "Mallory assured me you would not be sent to India. It seems he's become sloppy." She maintained her usual frown, but the intent no longer seemed to be there in earnest. It lacked the conviction it used to have.Â
"It was never my intention for you to find out this way, James." She held his gaze, though unlike their previous encounters it was not an act of any sort of aggression. "And now that you know, I must ask you not tell anyone else." If he did, it could end very poorly indeed for her.Â
So This Happened
Brenna: Do you ever get off the feels train?
Me: I got off it for like two days!
Me: I usually get off somewhere between 'Hyperactive Junction' And 'I'm-too-tired-for-this-shit Way'.

âHavenât you heard?â He asked rhetorically. âIâve gone from Phoenix to Reaper.â
There was so much wrong with this, it was her. There were no doubts left, she knew him, she knew to check. She was alive this whole time and she had never bothered to even try to tell him. The guilt he could have lived without, the time he could have not wasted mourning in his own ways. All of the extra drinks⌠mind you that probably would have happened anyways.
âCozy place youâve got here.â He said, looking around the dimly lit room. âQuite a step down from youâre pervious living arrangements though, donât you think?â
It was quite obvious just how furious he was at her for everything that had transpired. He was blaming her for a lot right now and not all of it was her fault, he knew that, but he could not help himself. He was just so angry, yet so strangely joyous. Free yet confined immediately after by lies. She would never change.
"One does what they have to." She said quietly, looking him over. Her posture had already relaxed, unlike her previous self which would have ensured her remain guarded throughout the conversation. She stepped further into the room, seating herself on the edge of her bed, still watching him. "I would apologize." She started. "But it would hardly surmise my feelings." She turned away. "How did you know where I was, James?" She refused to use his Agent's Title. She wasn't his leader anymore, she was just Olivia.Â
Darwin's Finches [Open Post-Skyfall!AU]
She had sat stationary in the courtyard for long enough to allow a good look at her face, and though her attitude and name was different when she spoke he was positive. She had been alive all this time and never bothered to tell him? James hazarded a guess that she was likely not allowed, but rules had never stopped her before, why now? Why on such an important fact? This was so typical of her. The stirrings of anger began to rumble their way up through him, he quelled them as best he could, but they gave him an idea that would be worth a shot, and her reaction to such an event would prove without a shadow of a doubt who she really was.
James wandered in to the courtyard, careful not to attract the attention of the elderly woman in the wheelchair at the front desk. His training made him at ease even in this foreign setting and so his relaxed nature made him look as though he was supposed to be where he was, and this attitude and way of acting deflected attention from him. He saw the woman he suspected was M heading for a set of stairs, he could beat that. One quick stride out of motion and he was already climbing the post by a corner and out of sight. Once on the correct floor there were only two roomed to chose from and he managed to quickly figure out which one belonged to her, the one with the tacky porcelain elephant on the dressed, much the same taste as that bloody bulldog. If it was she, her room would be this one. No doubt in his mind.
James took a seat in a chair beside the far side of the bed and waited, ready to judge her reaction.
As soon as she'd stepped inside her very old, somewhat worn training ad reminded her to heck the room. She had done so, and upon laying eyes on James Bond sitting in her chair, she straightened up. A range of emotions ran through her at once. Joy, Fear, Guilt, Anger, Confusion, but all were hidden instantly behind a mask as she watched him, posture proper. "What the hell are you doing here?" She asked quickly, trying to determine how he could possibly have known where she was.Â

Darwin's Finches [Open Post-Skyfall!AU]
No sooner had she spotted him than he spotted her and in reflex he quickly ducked out of sight. Suddenly a certain rush of odd emotions began to swell but James quickly stunted and banished them.
âThat couldnât have beenâthereâs no way.â His thoughts were as conflicted as his rare emotions seemed to be. He chanced another look but only saw the back of the womanâs head, still it seemed familiar, her gate when she walked, the height and body shape, her hair styleâŚ
âNow youâre just trying to see whatâs not there, get a hold of yourself.â He scolded himself mentally. âBut what ifâŚâ
âWhat if what? She lied to you? She lived somehow? I was there, I âsawâ her die.â His own thoughts were arguing, trying to make sense of this odd situation. âIt wouldnât be the first time she liedâŚShould I follow herâŚ?â
âYour missionâŚ?â
The woman was near half way down the street now, but she turned and looked over his shoulder and more of the doubt was erased from his mind. She looked so much like herâŚ
âIt can wait. Tail her. I have to know for sure or it will just distract meâŚâ
One voice emerged victorious and against his better judgment and everything his training had told him to do, he left his post and began to tail his new target down the street. He kept a few feet back, hidden in the crowds of people. He needed to hear her speak, to see her face clearly, only then would he know for sureâŚ
She hummed quietly to herself, just two notes as she pushed through the hotel entrance, greeting Mrs. Donnolly with a smile and stepping into the courtyard. It was still public access, since Sunny had yet to decide if he wished to change that. She herself found a seat just inside the court entrance, eyes sliding shut for just a moment before Madge slipped through, a lovely dress on. "Evelyn!" She chirped,
"Hmm? Oh hello Madge." She chuckled. "Off on another date with His Excellency?"Â
"He's a real swinger." She laughed. "Just the type of man I've waited for."
"I'd hardly call it waiting." Evelyn chuckled with the other woman before allowing her off for her date. She herself started to consider heading up to her room to write her next entry. She had some things to write about now. She stood, wandering toward the stairs and up toward her own room. She pushed the door open, trying to remember exactly where she had put her laptop.Â
Darwin's Finches [Open Post-Skyfall!AU]
India, new sights, new sounds and an all out assault on the senses. People rushing by like a flurry of colours all swirling and twisting together as if a rainbow coloured flock of birds. The noise on the other hand was far less lovely. Cars horns, bike bells, animals, adults and children shouting and running this way and that. It was a hectic situation indeed. The smell was another thing, the smell of curry was something James could tolerate but the smell of everything that everyone on the block was cooking was a bit of an overdose and caused irritation, still he made an effort to seem like he did not notice it. He had more important things to worry about at the moment.
M had sent him to kill a man, and kill a man he would. The only real issue at the moment was finding said man. The reasons he
Had been given for this manâs death being necessary had been shrouded in mystery and sealed behind security codes that even he could not find a way around quite yet. That was the only thing he hated about the new Quartermaster, he was good at what he did. Regardless James was sure heâd find all of the rest of it out sooner or later, and until that time this man still needed to be dealt with. He had kept his eyes peeled from his little lookout hidden in between two buildings in the shade, watching the everyday market hustle continue all around him. No sign of his target yetâŚ
As they walked along the street, chatting about various things such as Douglas' new job and Evelyn's newest blog entry something seemed to catch Douglas' attention.Â
"Um." He started, stopping for a moment and facing Evelyn. "Could I... meet you back at the hotel? I've got some.. tings that need taking care of. So sorry, I completely forgot."
"Hmm?" She stared at him for a moment. "Oh yes of course." She smiled. "I'll see you back at the hotel then.
He chanced another quick kiss before dashing off toward some merchant stand. She found herself laughing as she turned away, walking along the street toward the Hotel. As she did, something made her double take. Just for the smallest of moments she had thought James had be- but that couldn't be the case, could it? No. He wouldn't be in India. Gareth had promised that much. She could see the Hotel now, and she was almost home, but now the smile had faded from view and she felt less a person and more a traitor.Â

Darwin's Finches [Open Post-Skyfall!AU]
She flipped casually through the Jaipur Harold as she waited for Douglas to finish whatever it was he was doing. She loved India, more than she ever thought she could, but as she ran her eyes over an article regarding MI6, the former head felt her heart sink.Â
Evelyn Greenslade, or M as she had been called when she worked at MI6 had been living in India nearly a year. She had gained a new job, convinced each and every one of her friends of her completely made up history and found a man what she could honestly say she loved. It was all going very well indeed, however there were things that troubled her.
She had more than once found herself picking up the phone, dialing half of the number for the office she was certain James still inhabited during his off time before hanging up and resigning herself to the fact that he would never know. Even as she sat reading the paper, she knew. He was never going to know she was alive, no one was.Â
It had been for her own protection that Mallory had helped her to fake her death. Had she returned to England it was certain she would have been held accountable for the people that died during the Silva incident. All of this for her protection, but it certainly didn't take away the guilt.Â
Just as she was losing herself in the memory, hands clasped over her eyes. "Guess who?"
"Hmm. Clammy hands and a slight stutter. Well I don't think it could be Douglas, could it?"Â
The man laughed, removing his hands and chancing a kiss on the cheek. She chuckled to herself, having finally allowed her emotionless self to become a thing of the past. "All finished then?"
"All finished." He offered his hand, walking her back toward the Hotel they lived at. "Are you alright Evelyn?"
"Hmm?" She wiped a small tear from her eye. "Fine, yes." She smiled at him, looping her arms around his and leaning on him as they walked.Â
Double-Oh Trouble [Closed Canon] {@agent007reporting}
âA small mistake, Maâam.â He said as he straightened both himself and his suit. âIâm sure it wonât be repeated.â
The last sentence was just another ego boost for himself. He knew he did the best job, and he knew there would never be another quite like him. Regardless he picked up the medical folder and began to take his leave. He stopped at the door and looked back over his shoulder to the woman who had her back to him.
âIâll be back once my day has been effectively wasted.â
"And once I have the result," She spoke, turning to watch him leave. "I will have an assignment for you." No rest for the wicked, as she had always thought. "Good luck, 007." Had she been anyone else, any other type of person, she would have added a wink for good measure. Instead there was just the cold expressionless face of a woman who had played the game too long and perhaps lost too much along the way.

Tricky Question: How does one Role Play with M consistently if she never leaves MI6 Head Quarters? Seems like a lot of plots would go nowhere fast. Just me thinking out loud.
// This is somewhat problematic at times. Some of the time there will be situations where she will leave but you must remember she's an old girl, so action and adventure are a bit rare.
I have some AU's, such as the postSkyfall - Best Exotic Marigold Hotel crossover in which she is living in India and I'm always open to new ones, so while she's somewhat hard to role-play as I love a challenge.Â
Welcome to MI6
Rose stood when M did, reaching inside her blazer and glancing at the screen of the mobile she pulled from it.  âThat should be now, actually.â  Flipping it round, she held up the screen for the other woman to view, where a anthropomorphic lock held up a big red flashing light alerting that personal data had been accessed.  âYou should have someone take a look at the MI5 database.  Americans have a bug in there somewhere.â  It was their software, after all, that displayed such an over-dramatic alert.  âYouâre welcome.  Lead on.â
"I will put Q on it." She said, no amusement or really emotion at all in her tone as she walked briskly down the hall toward the Q-Branch. She was greeted at the door by Tanner who pulled it open for her, allowing them inside before one of the Q-branch drones appeared.Â
"Ma'am." He greeted with a nod."She is who she says she is, we believe."
He stepped forward with a pad of ink and a piece of paper. "If you could provide a fingerprint, Miss Tyler?"Â
