My friends from local LGBTQ+ and vegan activist groups are raising money for Vegan Filmmaking Challenge.

Last year, Romas, the director of the movie, went vegan. In July, he’s shooting a new film - and he decided to veganize his team! The crew&cast of Romas’ new queer road movie You Can’t Escape Lithuania will eat only vegan meals; also, any animal based materials will be avoided in art design and clothing.

I don't see how exploiting animals is going to help those who are living on a minimum wage. Being vegan is much much cheaper than eating meat. Beans, lentils, chickpeas or peas are perfect substitute for meat and are in fact much cheaper if we would look from calorie/price or even protein/price perspective. They are packed with elements as well.

I don't understand where this vegan-class-privilege is coming from. Yeah you can eat expensive from various overpriced healthy food stores, but you don't have to. Just grab the same fucking thing from regular shop for 1/5 the price.
