I was working in the drive thru at my job, when a customer pulled up and without speaking or acknowledging me, handed me her money for her coffee. Usually, I don't get personal with my customers, I try to stay away from prying, assuming and or asking; but this time was different. ME: How was New Years? CUSTOMER: (silent) ME: You Know, whatever it is, whatever you're upset about, it's gonna be okay, I promise. CUSTOMER: ( burst into tears) I was so rude, and you're being so nice to me, I feel awful! ME: Don't feel awful, but at some point, you have to realize that it's not your battle, it's god's. What's you're name? CUSTOMER: Linda ME: I'll pray for you. CUSTOMER: I appreciate you. Thank you, more people should take the time to be kind. ME: I agree, take care Linda. I know you're wondering why I'm posting this, but it's just a reminder to be kind to each other; you don't know what battle a person is fighting, and a few words can go a long way in any situation. Hope this inspires you to be more compassionate and considerate. Be Kind to One Another. -K
