Hello people. It's been a while since I've updated my intro post, so I thought I would do that now. Don't worry, though—my desire to defeat all TMBG haters is still flourishing. So with that: watch out TMBG haters, because HERE I COME! >:)
TMBG is the best band ever, and you can't change my mind! Their lyricism and craft in their music is absolutely stunning, and excitingly addicting. I believe that everyone should like TMBG, and listen to at least one song by them.
This post is pretty long so please read more below... I'm sorry about that!!
Unfortunately, I was not exposed to TMBG when I was a little one, and for that I blame my parents. However, like many other kids, I was exposed to their works in film and on children's TV. That was the gateway drug into my TMBG love today, as my friend suggested them to me some years ago. Nowadays, I still have no favorite album because I can't decide.
Since my original intro post, my TMBG collection has most definitely expanded. To show I am a humongous TMBG fan, I thought I would share:
I have 13 TMBG records (Pink Album, Lincoln x2, Flood x3, Apollo 18, John Henry, Mink Car, Glean, The Else, Here Come the ABCs, and an original Mundanes single!). I also have a CD of the Istanbul: Not Constantinople EP. I have a DVD copy of Gigantic, and a guitar pick from Dan Miller. That's not all, but I will probably post a full collection in the future...
I have also seen them in concert twice, and will be seeing them again in April. I am very excited!
As for me, I am a girl who is 16. I am a diehard TMBG fan, if that isn't obvious. My rival hates emojis, apparently because "they're for girls," so I guess my love and frequent use of them makes sense. I collect records and make art in my free time, and at school I participate in drama club. Again, I also love listening to TMBG on my free time.

its likely incurable unfortunately, you're going to be living the rest of your miserable life listening to bad music and weird wordplay, or at least trying to scratch that itch by seeking out some other truly rehensible music. You can pretend that you don't like them though, practice makes perfect I've been told over my short life. This isnt peewee football though, you're never going to make a touchdown (running a famous hateblog) but maybe you'll get a participation trophy.
And this is for all of you: a pound of prevention is worth an ounce of cure. Don't listen to them, even ironically unless you have a metal fortress of a mind, like me.
So what if it's "incurable"?? It's not a disease!! LISTEN to their music because it's GOOD! So is their wordplay! GOD FORBID that it's different compared to corporate/coworker slop music you listen to—it's ART!! You're just jealous that you don't understand it and want to project your jealousy and insecurity onto other people so they can be on such a low, bummy, TMBG-hating level like you so you can feel better about yourself.
Not all hope is lost for you, however!! As you would say: practice makes perfect. Maybe you could actually invest time by listening to their music and realize you can actually ENJOY it instead of being a bum running a hate blog. Put down your phone and put on a record—trust me, it's worth it.
And to this person asking if they're doomed, don't worry! You're in a good spot. EMBRACE your TMBG fandom!! Don't let a sad gremlin with a puny hate blog tell you otherwise. Be proud of your devotion to TMBG, and don't pretend to hate it. Join the fight in taking down TMBG haters so you don't look as lame as this LOSER.
