ok guys..........this is probably going to be the biggest announcement we will ever make, so please, take a seat and brace yourselves! while we promise it is nothing bad (in fact, this is very good news!!!!!), it is something massive that will affect the future of the site forever.

it is no secret that the dip in activity has been disheartening these past couple months and while the end of summer is always an incredibly busy time of year due to crammed work schedules, summer classes, social lives, etc., etc. (all of which are a million more times important than chillin' on a dinky lil site like this and we're always really happy when our members talk about going out and living active lives bc that's an incredibly important thing, as long as they don't wander away too far bc we get lonely without them around!! we love you guys all so so much and never forget that!), the downward spiral of activity can also be attributed to faulty planning of the staff team, trying to take on more than we can chew, etc., etc. and a series of other bad mistakes we have made since the creation of the site (six months ago this saturday, i might add!!!), along with mental ups & downs that everyone struggles with.

in order to combat these issues and hopefully turn over a new leaf, we sat down as a team yesterday and discussed how we could better tm87. one solution we reached was not to remake the site completely, but rather rebrand it in a way that more widely appeals to all types of pokemon fans, whether they casual and hardcore, with the series from beginning to end, or maybe just now hopping in due to the whole pokemon go craze.

while we do not have an exact date for you guys at the moment, here in a short bit (hopefully no more than a week or two) we will be moving tm87 over to a new url and giving it a new name and a fresh start. before the panic ensues, we promise that the core of the site will still 100% be tm87. the plot will pick right up where we left off, except more plot elements (including the introduction of a new team) will be thrown in to spruce things up and make for a broader, more all-inclusive roleplay experience that will hopefully make it easier for all characters to join the fray without issue.

the new skin is almost entirely coded (scheduled to be completed tomorrow!!!!!! praise me.. i coded a skin in three days for u guys... that's how passionate and excited i am about this js) and we will be getting a brand new set of templates to go along with it!!! if you have any suggestions about what you would like to see/are disappointed that this skin or prior skins did not have, go ahead and post below and i'll try to work it in! this site's for you guys and we want it to not only have a nice atmosphere community-wise, but also looks-wise because that's important too!!

unfortunately, with the revamp, not everything is all good news. one of the prominent reasons we chose to go through with this is because we felt a complete reset of the economy was in everyone's best interest due to the overinflation caused by previous site events where too many items were handed out. a lot of the fun was taken out of the site for veteran members who took part in the site events, and while some might be a bit tentative to start over completely from scratch, we assure you that this is not about taking things away from you, but rather giving all future members an equal playing field!

however, as a reward to those that follow us over to the new site, we will be rewarding all old members 5000 notes for their loyalty! all old members will be able to pick 10 pokemon per character to bring over to the site straight from the get-go as well, but there will be opportunities to bring more over as the site progresses; however, for those of you eyeing your eevee hoard and counting up the $$$ you're going to make come reset, eevees that are transferred over will be marked non-breedable because we want to preserve their rarity.

tm87 will stay up for as long as we are working on the new site so please, continue on as normal!! thread, plot, chat in the cbox, etc. the site will only shut down once the rebrand is up, so basically......commence as normal!!!

also, this is going out to all of our old/inactive members as well!! js, this would be a great time to hop back in!!
