All gifts are due tonight, December 24th, by 11:59pm EST.

All non-pinch hitter and non-extension participants should have submitted their gifts by now. If you have not done so, please do so ASAP! We will be following up with those who have not yet submitted but who indicated that they were still working on gifts as of check-in #2.

Those who did not reply to our last call notice will be reassigned to pinch hitters. So pinch hitters, please stay alert! We will be emailing assignments to you ASAP as well, and we do apologize for the short turnaround time frame.

Also, we have been contacting participants regarding submission fixes via email and tumblr. Please check your messages to see if this applies to you.

For people who are still experiencing trouble uploading their art to AO3, here’s a method that worked for a fellow participant (big thanks to @dominodamsel!)

Create a tumblr photo post with your image, but instead of posting regularly, select post privately.

Right-click on your image and select “copy image location” - this will give you the URL. You can also right-click on your image, select “open image in new tab,” then copy the URL of that tab.

In AO3, click on the add picture icon in the Rich Text Editor. Add your link, and your image should show up in the content box! 

Be sure to add your submission to the collection (tkgsecretsanta2015), gift your submission to your giftee’s AO3 account, and post. If it’s a draft, we can’t see it!

Hello everyone! We’ve had some participants experience trouble with uploading their gifts to AO3.

Getting your artwork to appear:

Please make sure that the URL to your image ends in an image file extension (for example, .jpg or .png) - AO3 will not recognize links for images that do not follow this pattern. Please also remember to paste your code into the body body with “HTML editor” selected. If you still have problems, please contact us!

Draft works:

Please publish your work! We cannot approve it for the exchange collection if it still is in draft mode. You don’t need to change the publication date to the 25th - just as long as you have followed the steps to add your work to the exchange collection, it will stay hidden until the reveal.

Hello, everyone!

The drop date has passed! The first wave of pinch hitter assignments have gone out. If you volunteered to be a pinch hitter, please check your email and reply to confirm that you have received your additional assignment.

It is still possible that we may need to reassign some participants with the upcoming final check-in. Pinch hitters, thank you for your flexibility, and please stay alert for any correspondences you may receive from us - if you didn’t receive an assignment this time, we still may need your help in the near future!

We hope everyone is enjoying this exchange and is making good progress on their gifts! As a reminder, if you have completed your gift early, the AO3 collection is open for submissions! Please refer to our posting guide for directions, and contact us if you have any questions. It is imperative that you follow the guide, so that gifts remain secret until the reveal!
