They stared intensively at me as they sat around the decently small round blue table. Three pairs of eyes making it feel as if my heart could explode any minute.
“So..” Shirazu begins, “This isn’t a joke right. I mean some TV crew isn’t about to barge in through that door.”
I let a nervous laugh make its way from my throat as I shake my head no.
The room once again falls silent.
“Why did you feel the need to hide this from us?” Sasaki asks softly. The sound of his words made the tears welling up in my eyes, a guilty feeling none the less.
Sasaki smiles softly, before getting up from his seat and sitting closer to me. Resting his arm on my shoulder pulling me into a soft embrace.
“Its Alright.” His Whispers to Me, My cheeks burn red hot in embarassment. He so Close.
“Okay. This is not an issue that can be taken lightly. I refuse to work with a Women! It’s ridiculous really.” Urie snaps. Sasaki tries his best not to let the smile fall from his lips.
“Well I guess it Kind of make sense Now.” Shirazu starts, “I mean it always seemed like Mutsuki was too nice to be a man.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I question, raising my voice in defense.
Shirazu adverts his eyes from my gaze, looking up at the ceiling for an excuse, “Thats not What I Meant! I’m not calling you weak or anything, You a strong women - a manly women. Like not in a bad way or anything like that.Well I mean It’s not like anything wrong with being manly or wrong with being feminine its just…your you know Nice.”
Everyone in the room bursts to a fit of laughter, That is except Urie.
“Have You Told Saiko Yet?” Sasaki asks.
I shake my head no, “Why would I tell her before I told you?”
He put his hand up to his chin, “I dont know a girl thing, maybe you trust her more cause she’s a female.”
I shake my head to confirm he is mistaken.
“I trust you more than I trust anyone.”
“Well I”ll Tell her!” Shirazu Volunteers. Before he leaves the room, he grabs Urie, forcefully dragging him along, “Come on You Grumpy Bastard.”
When they’re gone, the silence is nerve racking. I guess you could say I’m sort of happy it seems like things won’t be changing that much. It hurts a little bit, Urie’s straight rejection. But I guess a part of me knew not to expect much.
Before I came to realization that I was alone with Sasaki and of that still in his arms, he pulled me tightly into his chest.
“Dont worry, with time everyone will come to except it. It will become a thing of the past.”
His words fill me with warmth. The smell of coffee beans and pencil sharpenings are oddly enough comforting. I embrace him, wrapping my arms around him tightly it felt as if I could never let go.
After one or two minutes past I come to realization, pulling back quickly he must think this is really annoying. Me clinging to him and Such. But when I look up at him he wears a smile. A Smile hhat would be enough to brighten even the darkest of days.
I Smile, “Sasaki, Sir. It makes me really happy. That you’re not angry with me for not telling you sooner. I hope nothing will change. I cant imagine you hating me and or not being in my life. So Thank You.”
It’s quiet for a few moments, I’m not sure if I said something wrong. But right before I start to panic all my worries slip away.
“I know.”
Sasaki Pats the top of my head lightly, and gives me a thumbs up.
Just as he goes to walk away, he stopa and turnz towards me.
“You Know Mutsuki-Chan?”
“Know What?”
He looks at me for a small moment, his grey eyes like silver bullets. Piercing through me like as if he Knows All My Secrets. All My Regrets. Everything.
“Since you told me Your secret. Ill Tell You A Secret.”
“Um, Ok?”
He laughs quietly, “Im Happy too. That you’re a girl. Not that I didn’t like you when you are guy or anything, you were always amazing and..i..uh..um haha,” He stuttered for a minute, “I guess what I’m trying to say is, I always thought you were kind of cute. And now things just feel.. possible?”
“What do you Mean?”
He Shakes His Head, “I dont Know.”
Then He leaves the Room.
