Erwin Smith S/O Headcanons
So I decided to write some headcanons for my favourite commander since I don’t have any requests and just to get the blog kinda up and running! These are more kinda like when he meets his S/O and stuff but still dhebdjdjd I’ll probably write more/a continuation along with some other stuff! I hope you guys enjoy so far anyway and that it’s not too ooc (^^)
• Erwin’s S/O is more than likely another person in the military, someone who can understand him a bit better than someone who was just a regular citizen
• That being said, his future s/o is more than likely in the survey corps
• Erwin’s S/O would have to be the person to make a move. After Marie along with the fact he doesn’t really see any romantic relationship worth it, he wouldn’t pursue any feelings he had
• His future S/O would have to be patient, always making sure to greet him with a smile, and maybe not so subtly flirt with him.
• This likely makes Erwin laugh, all the bad puns and pick up lines soon begin to be the small things that brighten up his day, along with S/O
• Once Erwin starts to realise his feelings, he’ll start to close off a bit out of fear of losing them, or even worse having them lose him. The survey corps isn’t a place for love
• But this doesn’t discourage S/O, instead it encourages them. They still make sure to go out of their way to greet him and make sure he’s well, even still manages to stick in a stupid line or two
• It gets to the point that Erwin pulls them aside. He can’t understand why they won’t let up, do they not understand the consequences? The pain and the devastation that either of them will (inevitably) have to suffer through? It would be easier for both of them to bury these feelings
• “I won’t give up on you, Erwin Smith”
• S/O outright tells Erwin how much they love and admire him. They know what might happen, they know what they’re getting themselves into.. but there’s more to life than pain, than the survey corps, than death. They understand the risk but they are more than willing to ignore them all, because being with Erwin is something they could never regret
• Erwin swears in that moment his heart skipped more than just one beat
• S/O further explains that they understand that either themselves or Erwin could die at any given moment, so they want to make the most of what time they have left, and live with no regrets. They understand if Erwin doesn’t feel the same, nor want to pursue a relationship. They just couldn’t die not telling him how they feel
• And with they that they give Erwin probably one of the brightest smiles he’s ever seen
• With one look into S/O’s eyes Erwin knee exactly how he felt, and softly grabbed S/Os face and pulled them in for a kiss
