Umm… why is Azula & co. leaving a trail of bodies behind them in NATLA? Like, what? There can be no redemption or easy forgiveness for Azula, Mai and Ty Lee in the Netflix show. Not after showing them actively kill people, not after showing the audience the dead bodies of their victims.

It's a war. And realistically, they would've left a trail of bodies behind them in the cartoon, too, but it was, well, a children's cartoon, so they didn't show us. Just like they didn't show us all the dead bodies of the soldiers Toph routinely murked because she hit them at LEAST as hard as Jet got hit in book 2 of the OG show that left him dying from internal injuries.

Respectfully disagree @firelxdykatara. NATLA is heavily advertised in my children’s “kids” account on Netflix. Even if it weren’t, the production is very obviously a kids or “family” show.

i’ve warmed up significantly towards the concept of small talk ever since i learned that its sole purpose is to make friendly noises.

I just realized something, you see, I love the fact that Zuko jumped in front of lightning for Katara cause it shows how Zuko is as a person, not because of the implication of Zutara or whatever. Yes, it’s a beautiful scene, and it shows how strong their friendship has grown. It shows Zuko’s selflessness. But let’s say it wasn’t Katara, like maybe it was Toph or Sokka or even Suki, will Zuko do the same? A 100% yes. He’d do it without thinking, because that’s just how Zuko is.

‎Speaking about Zutara artists... It saddens me how some of them post Zutara arts and often apologize for it. It goes like "please no ship bashing", "i understand it's not everyone's cup of tea, but be respectful", "sorry for this, but i love it". How people be like "i despise the ship but art is good", "i forgive you for shipping that because i like you as artist" and these are considered as nice comments, i won't even mention others (you know what it is), and the artists will still give thanks to them. The audacity is unbelievable, but the artists must stay polite somehow. And they stay polite, they stay in their own lane and people are still mad. It saddens and angers me because artists don't deserve this kind of treatment. I really appreciate Zutara artists, they are amazing and gracious, i'm forever grateful for creating arts back then and now. All my love to them <3
