Finished week one of the C25K program. Running was hard today. My quads felt like cement. I was horrible about stretching pre and post run so I'm definitely making that a priority in week 2.

What a great way to end week 1 of my couch to 5k program! https://www.instagram.com/p/CMlIPkCAciQ0cLSq97M3-cNzEebt7zwry9KIT40/?igshid=dha1ml4efa1a
Hobby-Couch to 5k
I’ve decided to train for a 5k. It may be a bad idea since I am 200+ pounds, but something inside of me is pulling me towards running. I am using the app C25K and I completed day 2 of week 1. My hips are tight and running feels so foreign to my body. I used to do track and field in high school which was a long time ago, but I am now roughly 70 pounds heavier and haven’t ran outside on a road in years! Even though it feels extremely awkward I feel so accomplished at the end. Jogging for 1 minute straight 8 times in 30 minutes may be nothing to some people, but for me it is such a victory. I have to say another massive accomplishment is working out after work. My job is mentally and physically taxing and I’ve struggled with finding the energy to do anything after work. I am excited to see where I go with running.Â
