I think a lot of the fandom is forgetting that the writers simply could have chosen not to write that. They didn’t HAVE to back Aziraphale and Crowley into an impossible corner. It could have been different if only the writers actually gave a fuck about the story beyond collecting their pay check

Hot take: I think it’s borderline abusive/negligent for a parent to let their young child become overweight. Even if it is out of love. As someone who was a chubby kid and now a chubby woman. It is so easily avoidable and so difficult to lose that weight and you struggle your entire life from alienation, unhealthy eating habits, insecurity, and health issues down the line. I see my young sister getting the same treatment and my mum lets her have 2+ packets of crisps every day, as well as cupcakes and fizzy drinks and I see the insecurity already taking root in her, because she knows she looks different from other children her age but she’s a child so of course she doesn’t have the self-control to just not eat it. She struggles with pretty bad hyper-mobility already so that extra weight is terrible for her joints and losing that weight is going to be even more difficult for her
