Wild grimace as he tapped his pencil against the table, trying to understand the problem in front of him.Â
Change the logarithmic expression to an equivalent expression.Â
He glanced at the answer key, frustration building up when he couldnât figure out how to get to that answer.Â
Wildâs legs began to bounce under the table as irritation seemed to bleed out of his body. His eyes skimmed quickly over the cafe he was in, taking note of the bustle and the chaotic organization that the shop usually ran on.Â
A child sniffling in the corner, the mother quietly soothing her daughter.Â
Skyâs signature greeting as he welcomed each person that walked through the door.Â
Malon and Time gracefully weave around each other, an old pattern only they were accustomed to as they prepared orders.Â
Wars flirting with students as he took seats.Â
Wild reached down to rummage through his bag, breathing a sigh of relief when his fingers brushed by his headphones. Normally the noise wasnât a problem, he was fine with the whirring of machines and the soft mutters of students nearby. The music wasnât that bad either, it fit the cozy aura that the cafe had.
It just felt like too much today.
Wild made some sort of distressed noise as his headphones blinked red. Of course he forgot to charge it. Fuck he couldnât do anything right-
Wild could feel his body tense up even further. Please donât come here please donât come here. He repeated it over and over in his head like a broken record, praying that Malon didnât try to talk to him. Donât get him wrong, she was nice, but he couldnât handle much right now.Â
The admission made guilt pool into his stomach, but as her footsteps grew louder the panic slowly started to set in.
âAre you alright?â Malon asked, frowning a bit as Wild tried to smile at her.Â
âIâm fine.â Wild hesitated before continuing. âjust stuck on a problem.â
Malon peeked over his shoulder, âMath?âÂ
Malon hummed before dropping money on the table. Wild blinked at the change. âWhat-âÂ
âYouâve been here for far too long, why donât you pick up Wind from school? Heâs been wanting to go to that new ice cream place for a while.âÂ
Before Wild could protest Malon was already walking away, and he fiddled absentmindedly with the money. He idly noticed that she gave him extra, just enough for two peopleÂ
âŚ.He figured it would be fine to take a small break. Â
