I read this really good shance fic on ao3 but i totally forget the name and link!

the summary is:

shiro, keith, and pidge go on a diplomatic journey to Altea to make an alliance with Allura and the Alteans.

Lance is a commoner in Altea and his family owns like a bakery and they all live upstairs. Shiro falls in love with him and buys him yellow flowers.

and lance cries and kicks shiro out bc those flowers mean something bad. Heartbroken, Lance gets the hanahaki disease.

shiro is confused by lance’s reaction and tells keith and pidge. allura hears and she’s like “those flowers are a bad meaning. flowers are an part of altean culture”
