This is a personal rant. I’m going to start by being upfront: I am part of the kpop fandom. I watch Korean dramas, movies, and shows. I have a Korean boyfriend and I have video-called with his family in Korea.

I consider myself normal, though. And most of my friends are normal. Why do I say this? Because we don’t sit together saying dumb shit like ‘omg koreanz are so hott i cannnttt’

No. Fuck you. SOME Koreans are hot. Westerners, do you think every white guy is super hot and cool just like in our Hollywood movies? Do you think every white girl is like fucking Emma Stone or Miley Cyrus? Is every white guy on the street Jude Law or Channing Tatum? (I personally only like Jude Law but I’m trying to cover different tastes as an example)

Same goes with all the Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipina, Latina, and European and whatever else fans out there. We all know… we all know that our local famous people don’t represent our entire populations. So why the fuck is everyone acting like Lee Minho or the guys from.B1A4 are legitimate representations of real Korean men? Why is everyone acting like Jessica Jung and Kim HyunA are real representations of Korean women? This attitude just proves you know nothing about Korea and its real people. There are good-looking Koreans and not-so-good-looking Koreans just like in any other race. FYI my boyfriend and his friends don’t like the “girly-man” image of the men in the dramas and boy groups, so you could be real disappointed

I’m appalled when I see comments on YouTube videos like “omg I wish I was Korean, Korean girls are so skinny and perfect, like real dolls”. Um. What are you smoking? Damn you’re gonna be getting a shock if you ever actually visit Korea. I also hate when I see “I want a Korean boyfriend! They’re so much better than other boys!” Fuck you. That’s so goddamn racist. Korean men are MEN. There are Korean guys that are assholes and Korean guys that are awesome. Just like any other race.

People, if you’ve said anything like that stupid crap, you’re a Koreaboo. Which also makes you an idiot. And if you ever do get a Korean boyfriend, he’s not gonna stick around if you fangirl it up around him, and he’s not gonna be all ‘zomg kpop is da best’.

♡they travel all over looking for the aliens

♡seungri has a whole speech planned in case they do ever meet one

♡he wants their first interaction on earth to enforce love 

♡they’re known as ‘the alien guys’ in school

♡99.9% of their ufo hunting trips just turn into star gazing dates

♡sometimes daesung will send a picture of the sky to the group chat to freak everyone out

♡they know there’s nothing there but they still flip shit

♡they live off snacks
