When I was diagnosed with Stage 5 kidney failure, everything stopped. The world didn’t feel the same. Life wasn’t about the to-do list anymore. It was about survival. Suddenly, I wasn’t just thinking about goals or business plans—I was thinking about whether I’d see another year, another birthday, another sunrise. But here's the thing about hitting rock bottom—it forces you to choose: give up, or rise up. Lying in that hospital bed, with tubes and machines keeping me going, I had a moment of terrifying clarity. I thought, “If I get another shot at life, I refuse to waste it living small.” I refused to stay stuck in fear. I refused to let self-doubt, perfectionism, or imposter syndrome win. I had something to say. I had people to help. I had a mission bigger than me. That diagnosis cracked me wide open. I saw through the fluff. I stopped waiting for the "perfect moment." I stopped hiding behind “I’m not ready yet” or “Who am I to do this?” Because honestly? When your body is failing, and your future is uncertain, you realise the only thing scarier than failing… is never trying at all. So I poured every ounce of my fight, every inch of my soul, into building my coaching business—not because I was fearless, but because I was finally done letting fear decide for me. Stage 5 kidney failure didn’t just test me. It forged me. It showed me the value of time, the power of purpose, and the deep, soul-level urgency of helping other women who feel stuck, scared, or like they’re not enough. Because I get it. I’ve been there. I’ve faced the darkest days—and I’m still standing. And if I can build a heart-led, successful coaching business while healing my body… so can you. 💪
