Curtis Marrs latest music video for the British band Cornershop. The song is a joyous ode to the golden age of Rock and Metal. 

So one late summers day last year we Shot this in Sunny old Hastings Combining the modelling skills of Hasting's very own Binj’ and his fabulous Chopper ( no pun intended ) and The Carlisle Rock pubs favourite Ginger barman Ben and the Gorgeous Emma finding her inner Rock chick for us effortlessly, you all were stars! Thank you x

The end result compliments this laid back groove with our stop animation style segued with vintage footage of bikers and takes you on a road trip from the metal homelands of the West Midlands, U.K through to the heady palm trees of west coast America and beyond.

So heres a look at the latest animation I worked on for Deloitte, my partner in crime Chris Curtis breathing some life into this with his directing and animation skills. Another multi layered abstract illustrated world coming to life.

Marrs adds some colour and life to the Royal Mail Commonwealth Games first day covers and stamp presentation packs. 

Back in the day little marrs used to collect stamps, the first being the free first day covers Kellogg's cornflakes were offering, featuring the George Stephenson's Rocket. I then went onto collect these first day covers for a good decade or two ( thanks to Granddad ) 

What always fascinated me was the often exciting and intricate illustrations on each stamp complimented by the graphics and secondary imagery on each cover.

So to be asked by Catherine Brandy - royal mail and Jamie Ellul at Supple studio to create one of these illustrations was an honour. My job was to add some colour, vigour and dynamics to the imagery to help reflect the excitement of the games and vitality of the athletes with a colour theme inspired by the commonwealth games. Hope they do the games some justice... heres to Glasgow : )

Audi Ultra - Dominos 

After what seems like an age i can share some work i did for Audi. Teaming up alongside Chris Curtis of Passion Pictures again, we set about to breath some life into a BBH Audi advert. My role was to Art Direct, which started with developing ideas and then visualising each scene to create a style and dynamic compositions. A Challenging balance of interpreting the clients ideas and ours. The final style frames were then the starting guides for the very talented 3D compositors and Animators.

If you keep your eyes peeled you can see the adverts between some world cup matches...if anybody is still watching it : )

As always it was great working with Chris, we both seem to know how to get the best out of each other, so look out for future projects we have planned!

my image created for last weekends CIA and V&A museum of childhood event, briefed by Alex age 8 Drawing Tomorrow What happens when we ask a five year old what the future holds? Where do they think they’ll be living? How will theyhave got there? What will they be doing in their spare time... and what are we all going to do about those terrifying electric chickens with stinky green feet that now rule us?! More to the point, what happens when we take this five year old’s dystopian (or utopian if you like stinky chickens) future vision and give it to a seasoned professional illustrator to recreate in glorious technicolour? Only one way to find out...

Big Time machine and it looks like a car with collapsable wheels, wings, back to the future. Alex is Driving the car wearing a West Ham scarf. Yellow clouds. Alex has Dodos back to the future.
