give your phone to a parent and give them a time when they can give you back your phone. there’s this app where you set a time and it grows a tree, but f you pick up your phone it wont grow a tree. i cannot for the life of me remember the name of the app though! sometimes focusing just takes discipline - when you notice your self wondering off just stop. also try the Pomodoro technique so you have scheduled in time for your brain to wonder off x 

hey, so so so sorry that i’m only just responding to this. I hope that you found a way to finish your classes in time. was talking to someone an option in order to get extra time to finish your courses? that would have been my number one piece of advice. requesting extra time was honestly a saviour for me during undergrad and my masters. 

In my element - book, tea and a blanket. I actually ended up putting this one back on my shelf, not because I wasn’t enjoying it but because I wasn’t in the mood for non-fiction. I feel like I have to be in a particular mood for non-fiction and after years of undergrad and postgrad studies my brain still associates non-fiction with studying 🤷🏾‍♀️. I wasn’t on a scholarship. In the UK you can get a postgrad loan to fund all/part of your studies - sorry I cant be of more help

i never had to do this, so can't be much help but i guess just get creative on publisher or word - all the best x

awww happy to be saving a life lol. plan everything - that was literally my approach to being organised and also factor in that things may not go to plan in your initial plan. studying well - find a study method that works for you - can you work for long stretches of time or do you need frequent breaks? do you like colourful notes or is black pen fine? find out what you and your brain likes and go from there. studying more - kinda ties into what i first said about planning everything, just make sure you’re taking breaks too, dont study to the point of burnout 

i was just the same! i work so much better under pressure. i find the best thing to do is to create your own pressure. set deadlines for readings, plans, drafts etc., leading up to your actual deadline and force yourself to stick to it, dont convince yourself that you still have time because your actual deadline is a few days/weeks away x 

im sure you didn't fuck everything up. the fact that you’re asking for help shows that there is still time to turn things around and i can only hope that my advice isn’t too late. discipline! discipline! discipline! discipline is everything. you literally have to train yourself to do the things you do not want to do, in this case studying. you won’t be studying forever at the end of the day, it’s only for the moment and it will have so many benefits. ask for help when you need it, take reasonable breaks, sleep! and still do the things you enjoy whilst studying for a reasonable amount of time. make a plan, one that is realistic and stick to it x
