It's a really, really good show! The cast, the suspense! All is super well done and gets me interested in the story, the world and the characters' progress: both on each personal journey and as a team.

The Golden Trio (Triangle) or Formidable Trio is a nice version in the show. I like each and everyone: Wu Xie, Zhang Qi Ling, Wang Pang Zi. They are great together and great as individuals. Tbh I would even say that these portrayals are much more compelling though I did like the first ones and absolutely have love and respect for the actors of TLT1 series.

Here, in TLT2 the Trio is better developed, probably due to the show's duration: afterall 40 eps vs 13 of the first if I remember correctly. Yet some nuances in the characters' representation give me better impression of who they are as persons and why they react the way they react to something that's going on in the world of Daomu Biji.

Wu Xie is such a lovely character! Brave, naive at times but so as cunning sometimes, funny and caring. Comparing to the first portrayal in TLT1 is no whiny almost at all.

Zhang Qi Ling is awesome so far*! In all his brooding glory but more talkative and emotional this time around. LOL He is spirited, quick and a formidable force which is always cool and nice to see cause the character is so different and mysterious from his companions. The guy's past, powers are all enigma you can't stop thinking about dying to know, to solve the puzzle called Zhang Qi Ling.

And Wang Pang Zi! He is pure delight and all fun! Hilarious character with a layer of depth underneath.

The rest of the characters are good and nice to follow their stories though not many have been seen yet.

Oh, and the series IS spooky at times! Especially watching in complete darkness of the room! Brrrr! Despite me being a horror genre lover it really gets to you which is a success for the show with horror elements, great job!

And I agree, with all of it! I loved TLT but TLT2 is so, so much better! And especially the relationships are just SO GOOD! 

Exactly! Relationships are the highlights to follow! The characters are so well written to care and to worry about their journey, jumping at every crazy turn their story takes. Very engaging show!

The Lost Tomb 2 is really, really good. And also really, really scary. I watched episode 3 with my lights off and… yeesh! When Wu Xie got separated from the others, Zhang Qiling and Pangzi, and he had to wait for the walls to move again so that he could join them once more and then suddenly he heard this splashing behind him and he turned around to see the sea monkey coming out of the well! Or when Zhang Qiling and Pangzi discovered the corpse with the 12 arms! They pulled it out of its casket and set it aside… and the thing started moving behind their backs, without them noticing! O.O Yeesh, so scary!

Also, I really, really, really like this Zhang Qiling and his relationship with Wu Xie. Not that I didn’t love their relationship in the previous series - Li Yifeng and Yang Yang were awesome in their parts but especially Yang Yang didn’t have much to do besides look cool brandishing a sword. It feels like this Zhang Qiling actually has a personality, a story of his own - his memory loss and his desire to find out what happened all those years back.
