“But I miss him and when you sent the text I really thought my world was ending until something happened and I actually said that I loved him so you did me kind of a favor and he came to the house and brought me flowers but everything went to hell when he saw that I had his password. Kill me, Hunter, kill me now. That always happens, I’m so stupid that I have this things…I can’t control it, I have urges and I act like a crazy person everytime” She sighed and crossed her arms “Can you tell me something nice and make me feel better about myself?”

had it been anyone but frankie to start talking his ear off, then hunter would’ve automatically shut them down and told them to go find someone that actually cared, but he stays silent and listens since it’s his twin. “ killing you would violate my probation, so hard pass on that. ” he chuckles, resting both hands on frankie’s shoulders. “ stop thinking about jonah. he’s not worth your grief. as for something nice --- at least now you’re not doomed to be the housewife of a wannabe rockstar. always a good thing. ”

Zoe crossed her arms and looked at Hunter, completely unamused by his sarcasticness at the moment. She figured it was typical and something that he would do anyway. “Don’t try and be all funny with me, Hollingsworth. We both know you’re not stupid and you probably could’ve guessed that yourself. “You have a brain up there, don’t you?” She rolled her eyes and shook her head. “God, you sound like you need something to get you out of whatever mood it is your in. No need to put everyone else’s mood down along with you.”

her irritation with him brings a smirk to his lips, unintentionally mimicking her actions and crossing his own arms. sure, it’s nice to see a familiar face in an unfamiliar city, but he’s never exactly been on good terms with zoe, so he’s not too sure how to act. sarcasm and bitterness is always his first reaction. “ why would i do that ? it’s better to suffer in numbers. makes things seem .... even. ”

“How is that even possible? You have his face, the face of the king of France” Weird enough but now it shouldn’t be that surprising “This is way confusing”

“ the king of france ?? okay. are you on drugs ? ” 

“I’m just too depressed to be on vacations, Hunter. Everything sucks right now to me, I’m not the best person to be around and I’m a bit moody as well. What’s wrong with me?”

“ you’re a teenage girl. every break up is going to feel like the end of the world to you. ” he shrugs, deciding not to lie to his twin to make her feel better. 

“So what? I’m from a lame rural city in Texas. It’d take days of a road trip to find anywhere like New York from home. Parts of the county smelled like horse manure there.“

“ ah. ” no wonder she was so fascinated with new york; her hometown was in the middle of the dirt hill that was texas. “ travel far enough into new york and i’m sure it’ll smell like horse manure, too. ”

“Wow. That sounds kinda gloomy. It is New York city. Did you really expect for this place to not be crowded? There’s people around here every single day. Don’t be so glum about it. Just try and make the most of it while you’re here.”

hunter gives a fake gasp, still refusing to take things seriously when it came to the likes of zoe. “ wow. is this really new york city ?? i never would have figured that out without your help, rivas. thanks ! ” and then, “ thanks for the advice, but i think i’ll stay miserable and judgy until another plague hits. ”

Timmy rolled his eyes. “Who’s saying I can’t?”

“ nobody is saying that you can’t, obviously, but it makes you look insane. ”

“I’m not dramatic, I’m being realistic. We don’t know why we are here and I’m trying to call Miles but he doesn’t answer his damn phone”

“ surprise, surprise. you can continue freaking out and questioning the universe, but i’m treating this as a vacation. ”

“…God, Charles? Is that you?” He was wearing those strange clothes, it was weird to see him like that.

“ --- no. ” he glances behind him to make sure her words aren’t being directed at someone else, but returns his gaze to her once noticing that no one else was there. “ must have me mistaken for someone else. ”

          ‘    woah  …  i  was  just  asking  your  opinion  because  you’re  my  friend  ,  you  can  chill  a  bit.    ‘

“ fine. do purple next. it’ll look nice. ”

          ‘    okay  ,  i  really  like  the  blue  but  …  if  i  was  going  to  change  it  ,  what  color  should  i  do  next  ?    ‘

“ red ? orange ? purple ? i don’t really know .... or care. ”

“Damn it, can’t believe he’s not answering and now I have no idea how I got here…ugh, my parents are going to kill me”

“ quit being dramatic. thanks. ”

Maya didn’t know how she got to New York the last thing she really remembered was waking up in a hospital room to her mom and sister, Katie and telling her what happened. She wasn’t glad Zig had found her on the roof, but at the same time when Katie said there had been all of her friends there worried about her, she didn’t know how to feel about that. But now in New York, Maya was going to put everything that recently had happen to her and stick on the road to getting better. Heading out of the apartment building she ran into someone in the lobby “Hey!” She called out to them “Do you know any good places to eat around here?”

the familiar voice makes hunter jump, already stressed about the conversation before it happens. out of everyone, he dreads having to interact with maya the most. either way, he remains calm and glances over at her with bored eyes. “ --- there’s a cafe down the street from here. ”

“I just woke up…and I have a headache…and I want to go back to sleep…but that’s probably because I have no real idea of where I am. Where am I? Where’s my mom? Where’s Timmy?”

“ do i look like your personal assistant, zoe ? no, so hit the road. ”
