Lucyderine did not want to go out again, what the hell do you mean they can handle ANOTHER GOD if they were able to get Timekeeper?! THEY GOT LUCKY! AND ITS THE SUGAR SWAN FOR CRYING OUT LOUD?!
So they delay going out there to get a “better plan” to just, talk to someone, Timekeeper mainly. They didn’t really think they could talk about it to anyone else, plus the swan is their friend, maybe they can find a way to, get the swan to come without having to roughly kidnap it? Or find a way to just get it into the plan.

*they look up at the other cookie and move to be closer to the bars of the cell.*

“I’ll be here for a while, I’m supposed to be leaving but I do not want to throw myself at the sugar swan right now. You can vent to me, I’ll listen..”

“Great divine everyone is so dead. I know I have to go get her but to the light above..” and now, she had another reason to hesitate to get the target.
Can you not just refuse?
“I could, I can very well lie and say the machine can’t be put off to get someone… and then someone’s going to say there might not be time to finish it if the remaining targets aren’t taken! And maybe I’ll be questioned about hesitating after everyone in their eyes? has seen I caught you fairly quickly! Twice! Without hesitation.. so maybe I can just as very nicely for the sugar swan to just come over I don’t have to risk any of that”
*they pull away slightly so they can see her face. They quickly wipe their face with a sleeve before talking.*
You caught me easy both times because I was vulnerable both times. First time it was definitely luck because I tripped but the second time I was just vulnerable.
“Yeah that’s the point, I was lucky! The sugar swan is different I do not want to risk being gorged by a colossal swan! I’m not trying to crumble before I tear the entire place down!”
Yeah, fair.
“There’s only three more left… then I can tear the place down and make sure everything is vulnerable enough for everyone to get out… and the last three decided to become a pain in the ass to do in a short deadline.”

It is a very dazed little kid! Looks just enough like both Croi and Timekeeper to give pause, but also very obviously neither. Oh, hey! They're blinking away the dizziness from falling! "Mhh..?"
*she sits down on the ground and holds a hand out to the smaller cookie.*

[Longan wiggled a little, wincing softly as it got comfortable on the cold floor, they’d been hiding the gash for a while, but it was difficult to hide the slight metallic stench of blood]
*they grumble slightly as they turn to face the dragon.*

Questions, questions! Or-- oh. Okay.
"With Round Two out of the way, we move on to Round Three!!" Kesar Milk shouted into the microphone with only a slight amount of forced cheer, "You know the drill by now; answer the questions, and see what happens in the battles! Round three's question is-"
"Ah, Kesar Milk Cookie?" called Ginger Molasses from where it was still sitting on the bench. Eternal Sugar was... suspiciously close to it. The minotaur fought the sinking feeling in his chest.
"A volunteer to be the first to answer our next question??" he ground out, almost as a warning.
Not one to be deterred, the cat rolled its eyes and snatched the microphone from him. With a flourish and a bow that was only slightly mocking, it raised the mic to its mouth, "I forfeit!~ I've had all the fun available to me. Best of luck to the other contestants, yada yada yada, toodles!"
It tossed the microphone back to a stunned Kesar Milk before vaulting over the side of the sand pits and disappearing into the crowds.
"Uh- okay! Ginger Molasses has forfeited!! We are down to four contestants!!!" under his breath, Kesar Milk muttered a quiet, "Crumbs," before continuing, "The question for Round Three; what's something you'd like to see in your ideal partner?
"Since Ginger Molasses- left? I suppose I'll hand this over to Timekeeper Cookie!"
I am already married. I was signed up for this by someone else.
