That's a good question!

Well, when I was trying to build a cartoony artstyle, back in 2020-2021, I was watching a lot of vintage obscura cartoons.

A few big ones I watched were the old Betty Boop cartoons, specifically the episode 'Swing you Sinners'.

This one really resonated with me as a Bendy fan because, well, it's hell themed and creepy. I also learned how to draw silly hands a lot better with this cartoon too!

My art looked a lot like this after watching this cartoon and my other inspos so many times:

I also drew a ton of inspiration from Ub Iwerks' Flip the Frog, specifically for Bendy.

Here's one of the cartoons that Iwerks' worked on that I had gotten inspo from!

Though uncredited, Ub worked a lot on Oswald and Mickey Mouse and shaped the visual characterizations of them both. With said timeless art style, it's obvious that I had to transfer Bendy's flat design to something like this.

I had a ton of time on my hands between the late 2020s into the entire year of 2021, so I did a bunch of character studies and was able to truly transfer the Iwerks' art style to Bendy and Boris! I haven't tried to draw Alice yet, I'm sorry.
