Ever since I first read about the #intellectdevourer in the Complete Psionics Handbook back in '91, I've wanted to use them in my campaigns. The idea of a brain on legs wearing its prey like a cheap suit really appealed to my taste for body horror. Nearly 30 years later, I finally got the opportunity, and it did not dissapoint. The smug satisfaction the party sorceror felt as he fireballed a room full of bugbears and the horror it transformed to as their skulls split open and the the devourers lept out. A basecoated model is kinda like it's still in puberty. You know it's going to look good one day, but it's really hard to see just now. Not until you get the wash on it do you have any idea how it's really going to look when it's finally done.
