“My parental guardiuan threw me in here because I turned legal and he still wanted his paycheck.” She didn’t really want to explain her diagnosis, or anything about herself for that matter. Hadley hated letting people in too close. “Your turn.”

Lillian nodded,”Don’t you just love adults who think they have control over you?” The red haired girl shifted on the wall, bringing her arms up to her chest. The girl paused for a moment before she opened her mouth to simply say,”Court order.” 

Lillian looked at the cluttered mess on the floor and the man next to the table it came from. “I heard a crash,” She said shrugging. The girl walked in anyways and picked up a couple of the things on the floor, placing them gently on the table. 

“Um. Nice to meet you. I’m a patient.”

“Oh. That’s fun. Who is your new best friend,” she said jokingly, in reference to her partner. 

You sure ? I can help, maybe ! What are you doing out here anyway ?

“I’m fine,” Lillian said, just as sarcastically,”I just needed to get out of my room. The colors are so muted.” 

Hadley sighed, letting the boredom and discontent from the room of unfamiliar faces fill her lungs. She couldn’t take the silence anymore – she abhorred it. “So,” she finally spoke, “what’re you in for?”

Lillian looked in the direction of where the voice came from and there was a green eyed girl next to her. The girl only shrugged, not in the mood to be the first to share. “You first.” Sure, it was childish, but the girl only wanted to share as much as the other. 

“Yeah, I got you. That sucks. Sorry. I’m Kat.”

“Yeah. I’m Lillian. What about you? Patient or volunteer?”

“That makes two of us,” Katerina shrugged. “You a patient or?”

“Volunteer,” She said shortly,”Well, I didn’t really volunteer, but you know.”
