“If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.”

“The servant who buried his master’s money rather than investing it like the other servants spared himself the embarrassment of a failed business venture. But his cowardice earned him the strongest rebuke: his master called him wicked, lazy, and worthless (Matt. 25:24-30). You don’t want to be the servant who does nothing out of fear of messing up. You may well make a mistake through misguided action, but you’re guaranteed to make a mistake by doing nothing.”

Yes it’s a real service. I do volunteer work for a rape crisis support service in my city and texting is one of the features we provide as well. But just to boost its credibility, I tried it myself:

“Some people think God does not like to be troubled with our constant coming and asking. The way to trouble God is not to come at all.”

“Lean on Jesus. Be honest. Be vulnerable. He knows. He sees. He heals.”

“My therapist taught me to interrupt my anxious thinking with thoughts like: “What if things work out” and “What if all my hard work pays off?” So, I’m passing that onto you wherever you are, whatever you’re leaving, or whomever you’re becoming.”

“That’s the excitement in obedience, finding out later what God had in mind.”

“May I love the Giver more than the gift.”
